Growing As A Christian: In The Word Of God

Our Uncle Tread knew the Word. He was a minister for many, many years. Uncle had no formal theological training other than that of sitting under many wonderful ministers, growing up in a home that honored the Word, and most of all reading the Word at every chance. We marveled as we listened to him preach sermon after sermon quoting scripture after scripture, always quoting book, chapter, and verse. He was an amazing servant of God and His last Word on this earth was his savior's name, "Jesus".
