There are some great deals to be had at Bidz

I am seeing lots of nice pieces sell for way less than I would expect.

So, It Is very simple indeed. You sign up for free, they will not spam your e-mail at all. Next you search though all of the jewelry available, and remember a new auction begins every minute. Once you find something you like, place a bid on it. You can see the timer counting down; most auctions are not for very long, so just stay near your computer and wait for your bid to win.

It is not like alot of other auction sites where you place your bid then you have 5 days until it closes, leaving alot of time for other bidders to come in and raise the price on you. This site is a little bit more realistic in that an auction only lasts a very short period of time; much more fast paced and exciting.

Car auctions, for example, have a line of cars that just roll very slowly through one garage door right by the bidders and, most of the time, don't stop. By the time the car reaches the exiting garage door, which is only about 200 ft., the auction is closed. It is usually a matter of about 30 seconds to a minute. If a particular car has some hot bidding, where there are a few people that really want a particular car, the auctioneer will have to ask that the car be stopped, but this is still a fast process and usually closes about 30 seconds after that. So, as you can imagine being at a car auction is fast-paced, exciting.

The point of this is that bidz is very similar to this style. The auctions tend to go very quickly until there are two or more people that are very interested in a particular piece; at which point the timer keeps getting bumped back with 15 more seconds.

I would reccommend being very careful when it comes to hot bidding. You don't want to overpay for something just because you want to beat someone else. My advice would be to have a set limit, or the largest amount that you would be willing to pay for that item. Keep this number in mind when you first begin bidding. This way, if you win it for the price you want, then you are way over what you expected to pay for it anywaysl and if you do get into a bidding war with someone you know your limits without having to re-evaluate what you would be willing to spend every 5 seconds. If you have your set price you can raise the bids comfortably.

I've gotten some great deals on very nice pendants and rings for my fiance

This is what I did For our anniversary that became the story she tells everyone she knows.

maybe you could take some of these and make an evening you will never forget.

When my girlfriend and I were to be celebrating our one year dating anniversary I wanted to make it a very special evening that neither or us would ever forget. After some contemplation I devised my master plan.

First I had her convinced that I was going to be working that evening, even though I had gotten the night off of work. Then I had a dozen roses sent to her work with a note telling her that I love her and to go to her car and look under her seat. Under there was another letter that I had planted the night before. The letter told her to go straight to her house when she got off work, and to look behind her tv. There behind the tv was a stuffed bear and another letter telling her to go upstairs and look under her bed. Under her bed was the final letter explaining that I didn't have to work that night. It also explained that she had 2 hours to get ready for a surprise. Everything was timed out just right.

A few hours later, I arrived at her house dressed- up to go out. She had no idea where we were going. I already had arrangements setup for us. I had called one of the nicest restaurants in town and talked to the owner about setting up something special for us. This particular restaurant happened to have 2 levels, and the top level overlooked the lower level. With a little persuasion, I worked out a deal so that we would be the only people on the second level. I preordered a bottle of wine to be at the table, her favorite kind. When we got there, it was almost as if the people that worked there knew who we were. We were escorted to our private, upstairs table where our waiter was waiting to greet us.

The rest of the evening was perfect. The food was amazing and my girlfriend was completely stunned by the amount of effort that I had put into making this day something for us to remember forever.

Once we got to the dessert course, I pointed out to her that there had been a gift waiting for her at the end of the table. She didn't even notice the box was there until I pointed it out. I slid it over to her and had her open it up. It was a necklace with a diamond pendant. She was so overwhlemed that she began to cry. She just kept saying that she couldn't believe any of it was actually happening.

Everything went perfectly as I had planned and we both have a night that neither of us could ever forget. To this day she tells that story to anyone that she thinks she hasn't told.

I give this story as an inspiration for you guys out there, to do something a little extra special for your lady. You can do whatever you like but don't forget the gift. Jewelry is always the best gift to give your lady on special occasions like.

Shopping is so much more convinient online

There is a reason why most things are cheaper through the internet.

why is it, do you think that many items you can find online cost considerably less than you would pay at any retail outlet. well there is one main reason and that is overhead. overhead, in brief, is what other costs are involved in actually getting a product sold. so, when you go to the store to buy your jewelry not only is there the cost of the product itself but there are all the bills of the building like electric, water, rent, then there are wages for the employees and commissions for them for each sale, and numerous other costs that will cause the retailer to have to raise "the price he is paying for it." then after all of these costs are considered then the markup is slapped on the tag, which is necessary for the business to make any profit, i mean they should make money for their

efforts. sometimes these markups can be in excess of 200%. for example they paid $500 each for a batch of rings. after all costs considered they record their "cost" for each ring to be $700, then with the markup being 200%, your looking at paying $2,100 for that "$500" ring. that's $700 for their cost plus $700*2.00%=$1400. You can now see where there is a lot of room for cutting costs and offering products for a much lower price to the consumer without taking a big hit in profits compared to a local retail outlet. behold the internet. Of course such sites do have overhead costs but they are never as much as most stores would pay for their operation. so that right there is one huge savings to the customer without the online retailer missing out on profits. there is also one other major point that i would like to make and that is that the markup of a local store has to be much higher because the expected number of sales is limited to their

geographical area. if this store is located in a town where there are only about 100,000 people living within a 50 mile area. what percentage of those people will be likely to buy something from that store. It is because of the obvious lack in volume that a larger markup is necessary in order to make decent money for the owner and it's employees. now take into consideration, the internet, when you can expand your market to almost anyone in the world you can most likely expect that your sales volume is going to be considerably high compared to the local store. when you are selling 1 million pieces of jewelry a year as compared to 5,000 pieces you can obviously sell your items at a substantially lower markup, maybe say 20%. So, then let's take a look at an example of an online retailer selling the exact same $500 ring. first since sales of this particular item are expected to be in a much larger volume the online company will place a very large order from the manufacturer or wholesaler and when a very large order is placed often the price can be negotiated down, so let's say this online company is only paying $450 for each ring. then there applied overhead to each ring is not $200 like the local store but rather $50. So, now the online company's cost is $500, now with a 20% markup on that price we are looking at a price tag of $600. That is huge! we are talking about a $1500 savings to you the consumer. and this online company will still make boat loads more money than the local store. this is how this company operates. Why waste your time going out to the local store when you can get the perfect piece you want or want to give all in the comfort of your home while saving a tons of money. check out this site and check out the savings i have been talking about. all the prices start at a dollar and they can do that because even if something does sell below their cost it is very likely that most other items will be sold for over their cost and so many items are being sold that it all evens out for them in the end. I don't believe you will find better prices for the items you will find on this site. So go ahead check it out now registration is free.

There are more reasons as to why items can be so much cheaper on the internet

In addition to lower overhead, the market is greatly expanded.

The markup of a local store has to be much higher because the expected number of sales is limited to their geographical area.if this store is located in a town where there are only about 100,000 people living within a 50 mile area. what percentage of those people will be likely to buy something from that store.
