Get an Internship with the Big Four

Are you an Accounting or Information Systems Major Looking for a Sweet Internship?

Recently the "Big Four" accounting firms came to my university for a "meet the firms" recruiting night. It was my first encounter with them, and I was impressed by their internship options and by how much they care about their employees.

This lens explores the Big Four and any internship and career options with them. I also offer my own opinions about each firm based on my research and interactions with them.

My Thoughts on Deloitte

Deloitte had many representatives at the Meet the Firms night, but unfortunately did not have any reps for ISys majors. I will meet with them in the future and post my thoughts here.

My Thoughts on PwC

PricewaterhouseCoopers had the largest presence at our Meet the Firms night. They were well organized and had representatives from branches all over the US. Instead of giveaways (bags, pens, trinkets, etc) they were donating all the money they usually spend on those things to charity. What a great idea.

Being an Information Systems major, I was very interested in their employment options for someone like me. They had many options, and at many of their branches across the US.

My Thoughts on Enst & Young

I was most impressed with E & Y. They had a very large presence at our Meet the Firms night, and I was able to talk to more than one of their representatives from different locations in the US.

They have an activity called the Summer Leadership Program where undergrads visit an E & Y office for two days to get a feel for the firm and the work they would do as an intern and employee. I think this is a great idea and plan on doing it this summer.

My Thoughts on KPMG

Unfortunately, KPMG was not at our Meet the Firms activity, but they will be coming to my university in the near future, and I will post my impressions of them ASAP!

Back to my USA home after two years as a volunteer in Belgium and France, found a lovely wife and we're figuring out life together.
