Gas Mileage Calculator

A simple way to calculate your gas mileage

A gas mileage calculator is a means to figuring out what your current gas mileage, of mpg is.

Knowing your mpg is the first step towards improving it.

To calculate your gas mileage:

When you fill up with gas, top off the tank as high as you can. Write down your odometer setting, or if you have a "trip meter", set it to zero.

The next time you fill up, again top off your tank, and write down exactly how much gas it took. Also note your new odometer or trip meter setting.

Subtract your first mileage reading with the second one (or use your trip meter reading).

Now divide the number of miles, by the number of gallons you used.

Hypermiling

How to get Extreme Gas Mileage!

Hypermiling has become a very popular term. With the ever-rising price of gas, it's becoming increasingly important to get the most from our car or truck.

Hypermiling is simply a group of techniques designed to go farther with less gas, and use less gas while our car or truck is running.

There are some controversial techniques, such as "drafting", which is driving very close behind large trucks at high speeds. This is VERY dangerous!

However there are many techniques which aren't the least bit dangerous, and will save you 25-40% at the pump.

Best Gas Mileage Cars

The best gas mileage cars for 2008

The Best Gas Mileage Cars list has many of the "usual suspects" like the Toyota Prius and MiniCooper.

But the list also has a few surprises. Who would have thought that a Toyota Camry is one of the best gas mileage cars?

Of course, the top performers are either very small and light, or hybrids, or both.

If I were going to be buying a new car today, I would get the Toyota Prius hybrid, which gets an EPA estimated 41 miles per gallon!

Even still, with the cost of gas continuing to rise, and no end in site, if you do a lot of driving, it actually pays for itself to buy a one of the best gas mileage cars. Scrap your gas guzzler, and you can pay for the new car in a few years!

Gas Price Calculator

Is it worth driving across town for a lower price-per-gallon?

How many times have you gotten a call from a friend saying "Hey I just found a station selling regular for $x.xx per gallon" or whatever it is.

It makes you wonder if it's actually worth driving across town for a lower price per gallon on gasoline - whether it's worth driving a few extra miles to save a few cents per gallon?

"Gas Calc" is a software program that will tell you exactly that!

The software asks you for the price at the close station, the price per gallon at the further station, etc., and then calculates how much you would save - or lose - by going across town to a cheaper gas station.

The "Gas Calc" gas price calculator software is included FREE with the
2008 ULTIMATE Gas Saver Guide.

"Water4Gas", and "Run Your Car On Water"

HHO Hybrid Conversion Plans

Water4Gas, and a similar product called Run Your Car on Water are conversion plans to modify a car or truck so that it runs on water.

Water4gas doesn't actually replace gasoline with water, but using some basic "Chemistry 101" electrolysis techniques, produces HHO, or "Browns Gas", a hydrogen-like gas that can in fact boost gas mileage by up to 50%.

Does it work? Yes. Will most people who buy these products convert their vehicle? No. It's a very complicated conversion unless you are already a mechanic or metal shop worker.

So if these Water4Gas and 'Run your car on water' conversion plans can really boost mpg by 50%, why aren't auto makers building it into their vehicles?

The answer is that they can be dangerous, and probably won't see widespread general acceptance.

Speaking of the whole water for gas thing, there is a post about these two products on Gas For Less Money that you should read if you are considering buying them.

More to the point, Gas For Less Money is about to release their 2008 ULTIMATE Gas Saver Guide, which includes "Water2Gas", a HydroStar conversion plan very similar to "water4Gas" and "Run Your Car On Water".

What's worth noting is that "ULTIMATE Gas Saver Guide" is half the cost of "Water4Gas", includes similar plans, but also includes a comprehensive gas mileage improvements guide, a HyperMiling guide, a Hybrid Buyers guide, a set of FTC government fuel economy reports, an Energy Saver guide, and free software, a gas mileage calculator, and a gas price calculator.

Learn the Best Gas Mileage Improvements to Save Money on Gas

Have you been trying different gas mileage improvements from the time the fuel costs started to get out of control? It might be true that the efforts you are applying can be beneficial but it is also a fact that the savings you get from the effort is just not enough, right?

Well, one of the latest gas mileage improvements can actually result in a benefit of sixty miles per gallon of gas in your car!

Surprised? It is quite shocking because this idea has hardly even made the news yet. Most people find out about this through the internet; since it is the latest innovation where you can be sure to get the latest and the not so latest happening around the world.

One of the best gas mileage improvements is the conversion of your car to run on HHO fuel. This is very effective because the only element you need is the water.

There are many who claim that this gas mileage improvement is a scam. That is not exactly the truth; the conversion of your car to run on the water's molecular contents is an actual process that can work with an engine using the gasoline power. The only real problem happens when people just pour water in the gas tank without the proper conversion. This gas mileage improvement will be good for the air and your pocket.

If you are really serious in getting the conversion done on your car, you had better have the proper equipment as well as the expertise.

One of the benefits of the newly-released 2008 ULTIMATE Gas Saver Guide is that it INCLUDES these conversion plans: "Water2Gas".

Unlike the ridiculously priced Water4Gas ebook, which is nearly $100 and provides nothing else, The ULTIMATE Gas Saver Guide includes similar plans at no extra charge!

Take a look at this new product if you're interested in HHO Hydrogen Hybrid conversion, and certainly BEFORE laying out a hundred bucks on another limited product.
