Oversized Watches For Men

Oversized face watches for men are basically any watch that has a watch face over 43mm. For the most part, a large watch face denotes a mans watch. But as of late, large watch faces for women have become quite popular too. With that being said, please take note that no disrespect is intended, but this page is about Big Mens Watches. Though I do intend to create an over-sized watch page for women in the future....

Now if you are into big watches, you are going to love the Zlatoust Vodolaz Diver Watches . The 191yC has to be the largest wrist watch I have ever seen. As far as Large Face Watches go, you will be hard pressed to find a watch with a larger face.

The picture you see here is of an "original" Zlatoust Vodolaz Diver Watch I found in a review of the watch by a fellow named Ed on ED'S CORNER blog. I am thinking that must be Ed's wrist behind that beast of a watch.

Russian Zlatoust 191-yC Divers Watch

As you can see, it is one heck of an over sized watch at 58mm in diameter and 76mm across including the crown and protective cap. This watch weighs in at over half a pound. A whopping 260 grams.

The original Russian Zlatoust 191-yC divers watch was produced in the 1960's and 1970's. And would you believe that they still make a version of this watch today in that very Zlatoust factory?

Now rumor has it that the new version of the Russian Zlatoust 191-yC divers watch is not made to the same specifications as the old USSR diver's watch. So just keep this in mind, the water worthiness may not be all that it is reported to be.

You can still find versions of the original, if not the original itself, for sale on ebay. Just make sure that you purchase it from a reputable seller, should you choose to go that route.

Russian Diver Watches from Invicta

Though the Zlatoust Vodolaz Diver Watch is a great eye catcher and a wonderful conversation starter, I would not take it on many, if any, dives.

Ironically, the Zlatoust 191-yC is the watch that inspired the mega oversized watch sensation from Invicta. The Russian divers Quinotaur watch line from Invicta.

Invicta took what was once a gross, oversized monster of a watch, and made it a thing of art. Granted, when Invicta came out with their Russian divers Quinotaur watch line, it was grossly overpriced.

But, if you take a look at them now, you will find that they are fairly reasonably priced. I bet it was the massive competition in the over sized watch market that helped them come down to earth with their prices.

U Boat Watches

U-Boat also makes a fine large faced watch. The style of U-Boat watches that I am particularly fond of are the "canteen" style watches.

The U-Boat Flightdeck and Classico lines sport this "canteen watch" design. This look is created by a crown protection device that is secured to the case via a securing device. In laymen's terms, the screw down crown cover has a chain attached to it so that you will not loose it. Making it look like, a canteen.

Made in Italy, U-Boat Canteen style millitary watches are crafted with only the finest materials. IF you can afford one, it would make a great addition to any watch collection.
