What is Big Church

Big Heart, Big Dreams, Big Expectations, Big God

B. I. G. stands for Believing in God. This Church attracts an audience of people between the ages of 15 - 30. Many young people attend the Big Church because of the atmosphere, music, and messages.

If you were at Big Church for the First time, the pastor or leader will give you a Mr Big Chocolate Bar. You are welcome to eat it anytime during the service.

What Excitement Takes Place at Big Church

The Warm Up

The Service will start off with some up-beat Praise and Worship music from the house band or DJ. During the Praise and Worship session, people will get up out of their seats, sing and dance.

Following the first or second Up-Beat Praise and Worship songs, there may be some announcements about church life, events, etc.

After the announcements are wrapped up, the band will perform some more Praise and Worship Songs and they will start to slow down. Part way through the Praise and Worship, the offering is taken up and a couple more songs are performed by the band before the lecture.

The Lecture

Upon conclusion of the Praise and Worship, the pastor or leader will take the podium. The leader will start off the lecture with a bible reading and than deliver the message.

The lectures are approximately an hour or two. During these talks, the pastor or the speaker of the house will re sight bible verses and they will be put on the power point screen.

If you get bored during the long lecture, you may stare at the pattern on this speaker as seen in the picture.

Altar Call, healing, and Prayer Services

It's up to the Holy Sprit

Following the lecture, the band will be called back to the stage and sing a soft song in the background as the pastor wraps up the lecture and gets into the Altar Call, Prayers, or Healing Service

Altar Call--The invitation of people in the congregation who do not know God to the front of the auditorium to make a new commitment to Jesus. Sometimes people may say the Sinner's Prayer.

Prayer and Healing Services--A Prayer or Healing Service is similar to an Altar Call, people in the congregation are invited to the front of the auditorium for a blessing, prayer, or healing. In Big Church, the pastor will lay hands on your shoulders and say a quiet prayer. Sometimes during the prayer / blessing, someone may collapse and than become slain in the spirit. During the healing services, people may break out in tears, joyful laughter or speak in Tongues.

Upon conclusion of the Altar Call, Prayer / Healing Service, the band will perform one up-beat Praise and Worship song of the night and than the congregation is dismissed for fellowship in the auditorium.

What happens if you were at an Altar Call

The Conversion

After you said the Sinner's Prayer and accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you may led out of the auditorium to another room. In this other room you will meet up with other people who have accepted Jesus, to start the Conversion Process. You will be given a bible, pen, paper, and a Mr Big Chocolate Bar.

During this small group talk, you may be read a few verses from the bible and suggested to attend a Cell Group.

What is a Cell Group?

A Cell Group is also known as a Small Group. In a Small Group, you will meet up with a few fellow church members and discuss the bible, your activities, etc. If you were in need of serious prayer or work from the Lord, you may be suggested to go on the Encounter Weekend for Brainwashing.

The Cause

A Service for younger people

The Format is similar to a Sunday Service.

During the Cause, they will warm you up with some skits, games, and the house band. After the warm-up with the entrainment, there may be a short movie or multimedia presentation and than the lecture. The lecture may slightly shorter than a Sunday service lecture. Following the Lecture, an Altar Call will take place in which the congregation is invited up to the front of the auditorium to accept Jesus as their Lord. Once the Altar Call has concluded, the house band will play the final song and dismiss the congregation. After the formal stuff is wrapped up, food and beverages will be served at the side of the auditorium.

The Encounter: The danger of Big Church

A Brainwasing Course

What is the Encounter? An Encounter is a retreat course in Freedom (IE, Bitterness, bondage, etc). People will be set free through the Power of the Cross, (Big Church-encounter).

What Happens at the Encounter?

You may be brainwashed if you were not a Christan, gay, or had good non Christan friends. The Church leaders may tell you to change your ways for the future and it may not be the best for you.

Before you attend the Encounter, you will undergo four Pre-Encounter classes with the leaders. These Pre-Brainwashing classes will ensure that you got everything you need for God to work in your life.

Other Events

More Chances for Brainwashing

Other events take place at Big Church. Some are safe and some are not.

Comedy Nights -- A Fundraiser for the church to get money. They may charge $10 - 15.00

Men's Breakfast--A get together for the men of Big Church at a near by restaurant.

REV: A bible study style group for teenagers. This is a Brainwashing Event,

Cell Groups (Small Groups) -- Cells feature a Brainwashing. The more you attend, you will get hooked.

At any Church Event, Be Careful on what you say about shamanism, Reiki, Crystal Healing, etc. You may be brainwashed to not partake in these non christian activities mentioned. If you mention your sexual orientation, you may also be brainwashed to change that too.

Conclusion

If Organized Religion is not your thing, God still loves you anyway. Some Religions may be more pushy than others. If you decide to go to church, you are the one that makes the decision, nobody else.

I respect everyones opinion but i have made a research and read many books in english and spanish. I have talked to different pastors from around the United States and unfortunately the "Encounters" have affected people in a bad way. The different rituals that they do like writing their sins on a paper and putting them on a cross then burning them ! That is not biblical. I fear the Lord and i have been praying and fasting about this situation. And every time God shows me something new that His church is doing wrong. This is a false Doctrine. My concern is was Jesus' death on the cross not enough for us? That we have to have this "Encounters? AND rituals?
