Is Bigfoot real? Dr. Grover Krantz, a professor of anthropology at Washington State University examined the evidence starting in 1963. This book was originally published in 1992 by Johnson Books, Boulder, Colorado, with the title, Big Footprints: A Scientific Inquiry Into the Reality of Sasquatch. It was revised and reprinted in 1999 and 2008 by Hancock House Publishers in British Columbia, Canada.

I'm about to start reading this book and you're welcome to read along with me. Get your copy of the book before October 1 - I'll be posting about each chapter as I read it during the month of October, 2009.

Join me in discussions on this book at my blog, Bigfoot Sightings. You can also leave your comments or reviews on this page.

Who was Dr. Grover S. Krantz?

Dr. Grover S. Krantz, a professor of anthropology at Washington State University, started his study of Bigfoot in 1963. After examining Bigfoot footprint casts he became convinced that Bigfoot is a real flesh and blood creature.

As a professor of anthropology, his specialty was human evolution and he wrote ten books on that topic, plus sixty academic articles.

He received a lot of criticism for his beliefs about Sasquatch, yet continued steadfastly to study available evidence and to speak publicly at Bigfoot conferences. At the time of his early research he was the only professional scientist willing to speak out in favor of a belief in Sasquatch.

Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence takes a careful, scientific look at all phenomena considered to be evidence of Bigfoot. Dr. Krantz believed that sasquatch are real flesh and blood primates related to humankind and to all great ape species. For those who think that Bigfoot couldn't possibly exist, this book opens eyes and informs by looking for proof, plain and simple.
