Isolation is a word describing the lives of many Americans and the television is the main source of blame in many circles. Sure, we can can talk about the rise of modern appliances keeping people indoors, sprawling suburbs on the outskirts of town forcing us into our cars, or the modern day chaos of jam packed commutes and schedules.
I see a new hope on the horizon. It is an unlikely hero but family and friends beware it might just bring us back together for some old fashioned good times, together. Together again.

Friends and families are coming back together.
Entertainment technology has every intention of getting more people in front of the TV. Tribal Screens has a new angle on what the experience means.We are not intending to deconstruct community by isolating people in front of their televisions, rather, the goal is to construct community and build experiences for "your tribe".
Projection screen viewing is not about having an onslaught of TV on in the background (or foreground) of life. A projector and screen is used for only special viewing occasions. When you consider the bulbs burn out after about 3,000 hours and cost around $350 a piece it tends to be used with greater scrutiny for content and environment.
A front projector is used for those special moments of Oscar Award winning movies, the next big Championship Game, or for kids, friends and families to interact during Multi-player Gaming sessions (Nintendo's Wii is another take on building community around video technology.)
