A Cartoon Entitled: Bill's School of...

About the Cartoon Series, "Bill's School of ..."
Bill apparently was very fond of starting little schools on just about any topic! These are specialty cartoons that I drew back in the 1990s (but, recently there are some new ones!!). Unlike Ken's Cartoons, http://cartoonsbyken.blogspot.com , Bill's School of.... is one variation on the same theme, again and again. It is fun for me, as a cartoonist, to work within the confines of a specific theme, and then try to come up with good variations. Hope you enjoy. Remember that a portion of the royalties from this lens goes toward the good work of Action Against Hunger. Make it a good day! Peace and happiness to you all.
Bill's School of Prooofreadin
The first new cartoon of October!
This particular cartoon is somewhat autobiographical. For nine years, I worked as a proofreader in an accounting firm. Proofreading is tough on the eyes. Within 6 months of working as a proofreader, I needed glasses and have worn them every since. I, of course, blamed the job. Perhaps the fact that I was 30 years old and in a family where everyone had worn glasses from an early age contributed to this inevitability. By the way, I discovered an omission from two of the Bill's School cartoons on this page. Can you find them? Bill's School of Redundancy School
The Third New One this Month!
I could not draw a new cartoon every day, as it turns out. Just too many distractions, but more worthless new ideas for other cartoons in this series are piling up inside my head. This could be bad or good news depending on your perspective. But, like the theme of this cartoon points out: Repetition can be redundant, and vice versa. Please resist the urge to throw something at your monitor. Bill's School of Anger Management
The first new "Bill's School" in 17 years!
My freelance art career came to a screeching halt when my wife and I adopted the first of our two sons and I was in the midst of career changes. This cartoon represents the first finished, new cartoon in 17 years! I have tons of cartoon sketches, but no finished works...until now. Now that the threshold has been breached, I will endeavor to add more of these to this lens in this minor triumph over procrastination! (Big deal.) Bill's School of Sign Painting
The second new Bill's School in 17 years!
Two days, two new Bill's School cartoons! What are the chances of that happening? Mighty slim, I would believe. Strange as it might seem, I do have some more ideas for other cartoons in this vein. What's next? No sneak peeks. Hopefully, if all goes well tonight, there will be a THIRD new cartoon! I should not count my chickens just yet, but this is actually a good exercise for a lazy mind. Bill's School of Marketing and Sales
The theme of the "Bill's School" series is exploiting humorous irony. These drawings are dripping with irony. Bill's School of Unmitigated Gall
After a while, the schools became less and less normal. I suppose this one could also be called "Bill's School of Assertiveness." Bill's School of Engineering
Remember: Hinges opposite the doorknob.
Is a picture worth a thousand words? Perhaps, one hundred? Would you believe four? I hope people enjoy the cartoons almost as much as I enjoyed drawing them. Feel free to send suggestions for more "Bill's School." Bill's School of Executives
Nowadays, a power lunch may mean a diet heavy with protein. But, as usual, I am not sure about this. Anyway... Bill's School of Decisive Thought
I had a similar cartoon with a poster announcing the next meeting of Wishy Washy Anonymous which met on a Thursday....no, Friday....wait a minute, no it's Thursday...hold on, Friday...maybe Bill's School of Dieting
Again, we see Irony lift its smirking head. I know the limit is 10,000 characters, but I can't say that much about this particular piece. Although Confuscius said "One picture is worth a thousand words," he wasn't looking at one of my cartoons when he said it. Ok, exactly 288 characters. Ken's Other Cartoons
