Highway to lost Atlantis?
Whether this is true or not, the way the stones are laid out are certainly even enough to question whether they are naturally formed. If they are a natural occurrence, how did it happen that they are so perfect? If they are indeed man-made, where did they lead? Was Bimini once the city of Atlantis? If not where was the city? Did it exist at all? Let's take a look at what some of the experts say, and then come up with our own opinion. Atlantis may be a fantasy, or perhaps it was real. Either way, it's an interesting subject to explore. So let's! Shall we?
Stones Unturned
Researching the site
Several different sets of explorers and scientists have researched the area of the Bimini Road, and just as many opinions seem to exist as to whether or not the find is a) real and not a naturally occurring phenomenon b)ancient or c)a hoax created by men of the 20th century. Most seem to rule out c pretty quickly, but the big debate is whether the site is naturally occuring or not. The most recent evidence seems to lend proof that it is ancient and man made. The 2006 team, comprised of Dr. Greg Little, Dr. Lora Little, archaeologist William Donato, British science writer Andy Collins, and Sue Collins found evidence, after looking beneath the surface of the road, of ancient tools and leveling stones used to build the road. This refutes the naturally occuring claim. However, whether or not this was Atlantis, is still open for debate!

Plato described it as an extraordinary Utopian society, thriving around 9,600 BC, which valued peace, art and wisdom, possessed advanced technological knowledge, and was wealthy beyond that of any civilization before or since.... a real Paradise Island!

- Given the power of nature and the temporary status of everything on the planet, the Bimini Road could well be a relic of a route to a lost civilization.
