Using Binaural Music To Deeply Relax

Binaural beat recordings are extremely effective in helping you to deeply relax. Binaural beats directly alter our brainwaves and can change your moods and behaviour and reduce stress and tension. When combined with relaxation music, the healing power of music can be totally realised.

Most people are amazed at how quickly listening to binaural music can reduce anxiety and relieve tension. Some people practice meditation for years to be able to bring themselves into the deeply relaxed mental state that listening to binaural beats can take you in just a few minutes.

Using binaural beats to induce deep relaxation can totally transform the way you de-stress..

Types of Brainwaves

Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta Brain Waves

Healing Power of Music

Beta Brain Waves When the brain is actively engaged in mental activities it produces beta brain waves - these are the fastest brain waves and range from 15 - 40 cycles per second. If you are engaged in an exciting conversation, solving a puzzle or writing a document then your brain is in the Beta state.

Alpha Brain Waves Alpha brain waves are slower, they range from 9 to 14 cycles per second. You might go into this state when you are relaxing right after completing an important task or if you are taking a walk in the park on your lunch break at work.

Theta Brain Waves The frequency rate of Theta brain waves is normally between 4 and 8 cycles per second. If you've ever been driving for a while and can't remember the last five miles, then you were probably in the Theta state. Sometimes you can slip into this state when you are cleaning your teeth or reading a book, or when you do things on "automatic pilot". When you are hypnotized your brain is in the theta state and you are very receptive to suggestions.

Delta Brain Waves The final brainwave state is Delta when the frequency rate of brain waves in between 1.5 and 4 cycles per minute. This state normally begins just as you are about to fall asleep and continues when you are in a period of deep, dreamless sleep. When you are dreaming your brain is normally in the Theta state.

What Are Binaural Beats?

A Simple Explanation Of Binaural Beats

binaural beatsBinaural beats are specially generated sound frequencies that can be used to alter your brainwaves and change your moods. When you listen to a binaural beats recording it sends beats of two slightly different frequencies to your left and right ears. This then creates a third beat inside your mind - a binaural beat - at a specific frequency chosen by you to get the effect that you want. If you want your binaural beat music to relax you, then this frequency should be one which would take you into the Theta state.

Binaural beats are not a new thing, they were discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, but it wasn't until over 130 years later that it was realised how extremely useful the effect could be.
