Nikon Monarch Binoculars - See Things Up Close
I have been planning a trip to Alaska and I was advised to bring a good pair of binoculars with me. I am a novice when it comes to things like that so I had to do extensive research on all the different brands and types of binoculars. I finally settled on the Nikon Monarch Binoculars
I knew that on the trip to Alaska I would want to see the glaciers and also be able to spot glaciers high up on mountains. I also wanted to be able to see any wildlife that we could not get to close to. I decided on the Nikon Binoculars because of all the reviews that I read.
I loved the idea that the binoculars were 100% waterproof and fogproof and they provided extended eye relief and central focus for long viewing and convenience. I think the Nikon Monarch Binoculars would make a perfect gift forĀ my spouse to take along on the trip.
Nikon Monarch Binoculars Features
What Makes Them Better Than the Rest?
What is it about the Nikon Monarch BinocularsBefore my trip to Alaska I was able to do some small hiking trips and I really like the way these binoculars are made with a hard rubber armor construction. They did not become slippery when they got wet and they felt solid but light. The firm turn and slide eyecups are much better than the more difficult foldable rubber eyecups found on other brands.
I decided on purchasing the Nikon Monarch Binoculars
the eye relief feature is great for me because I wear glasses and these binoculars allow me to see the entire view field.
I am very pleased with these binoculars because they are lightweight, solid, water and fogproof and great relief for eye glass wearers.

Before you spend your hard earned money on Nikon Monarch Binoculars it is a good idea to hear what others think of the product. Read what actual product owners are saying about the Nikon Monarch Binoculars. I did alot of research before deciding on this pair. As an experienced photographer, optical quality was my top priority.
I originally purchased them for hiking and long range mountain scanning in southern Oregon, and while initially perplexed between the 10X or 8X version; I found the extra sharpness of the 8X resolution negated the need for a 10X magnification, because they rendered so much detail.
With the 8X, I spotted a fire lookout station that I'd never seen before, on a mountain 15 miles out of town. Quite remarkable. Added to that, was the research at Cornell University's Ornithology Center on the web. Birdwatchers extraordinaire; who called them a steal. I concur. I never thought I'd be so happy paying this price for binoculars, but it was a no brainer. Tack sharp, lightweight and well worth owning.
I'm a novice birder who was growing frustrated with my compact Bushnells. They were cloudy and not bright enough to get a good look at birds in the woods. These Nikons are wonderful! Bright, nice-sized field of view, lightweight, comfortable in my hands, quick focusing. Now I can actually find the bird quickly in my binoculars and get a bright, clear view of it. I searched for a long time to find the right combination of price and performance. These aren't too pricey and, for me, work as well as the $1200+ Swarovskis I borrowed from a friend once.
I bought these binoculars for observing wildlife on a recent trip to Alaska. I couldn't be more satisfied with them! They are lightweight and comfortable for carrying while hiking. I never missed a sighting of a bald eagle or a whale spout. Since returning home, I've used them at several NFL games and was pleased with the resolution and clarity. I didn't want to make a $1000+ investment in Swarovski's (the absolute best). I can't recommend these more highly for recreational use!
