Bionicle Rahi

Rahi are what the creatures are called in Bionicle. They were created by Mata Nui and Makuta using protodermis. They can be found all over the galaxy. Some of them got controlled by infected masks created by Makuta. All the bionicle world made use of Rahi, whether as vehicles or to supplement in their armies. There were hundreds of species of Rahi.

Nui-Jaga

The Nui-Jaga were giant scorpion creatures with deadly stingers that lived in the desert and volcanic areas of Mata Nu.i.Toa Lewa fought one near Le-Koro in the second Bionicle comic. They were also present in Metru Nui were the stingers were considered valuable. Once six matoran (the ones from the 2001 sets) combined to form a Matoran Nui to ward off a Nui-Jaga.

Mauka & Kane-Ra

Mauka & Kane-Ra

Mauka were tigers in Bionicle They migrated to the island of Mata Nui during the Great Cataclysm. During that time, Makuta gave them infected masks and implemented them into his army. A few muaka were also kept in the archives, but are immune to statis, so they had them live in a marked area.

Kane-Ra were bulls that were often spotted in Po-Wahi or Ko-Wahi in Mata-Nui. Kane-Ra usually teamed up with a Muaka when they wore infected masks. They were one of the largest omnivorous Rahi.

Tarakava

The Tarakava were huge lizard-like creatures with long arms to deliver punishing blows. The Tarakava lived in the waters near Ga-Koro. Sand Tarakava is another variation of the Tarakava that live in the waters near Po-koro.

Manas

Among the Bionicle Rahi, the Manas are not only strong, but also smart unlike their other counterparts. The only way the Toa Mata were able to beat them were to form Toa Kaita. Also, these rahi were attracted to heat. They are the only Bionilce sets to be controlled by a remote-control. They were the most expensive set along with Skopio XV-1.

Nui-Rama

The Nui Rama were large insect-like that were either orange or green. Their claws and stinger make them a deadly foe. Their was a huge nest in Le-Wahi and one in Ta-Wahi.

Later in life, Ussals would grow into a larger and stronger form.

The Hoto Bug was a fire insect that is native to Ta-Wahi. They used their body heat to tunnel through the ground or even some buildings.
They were present in both Mata and Metru Nui.

Hoi Shore Turtle

Hoi Shore Turtles were sited in Metru, Voya and Mata Nui. They were extremely slow walking, but could fly at very fast speeds. On Voya Nui, there werea large number of Hoi that lived on the beaches of the Cape of No Hope.

The Pokawi were flightless birds that lived in Mata Nui. They were known to scatter when attacked.

Ghekula

Ghekula

The Ghekula were amphibous creatures that lived underneath Le-Wahi in Mata Nui.
