I have played both Baldur's Gate, and Baldur's Gate II from Bioware.When I first played Baldur's gate, I was a little overwhelmed by it and never finished it.
I very recently ordered Baldur's Gate II after searching for "Best Role Playing Games" and Having numerous people referring back to this old classic.
So, I found it on Amazon, and bought the box set (recommended) with some expansions thrown in.
Baldur's Gate II is a Big game. It's took quite a well to complete but it never felt like a drag.
Sure the graphics aren't that great by today's standards, but the story and balanced gameplay will blow you away.
If you like role playing games that last more than 10 hours, and a good story line, this is the game for you.
