Time to Feed the Birds
It's a Bird House, No It's a Bird Feeder - No it is BOTH in one
Reasons why I like feeding the birds
If you care to know I will tell you why I like to feed the birds.I first like to know they have food - I make sure to always have my feeders filled - especially in the winter when food gets harder to find for them.
I also really enjoy watching the birds come and seeing all the varieties in my own backyard.
Oh and one other reason - I love all the unique feeders hanging and that is why I am making this page.
How about a Bird Feeder and a Bird House all in one?
I just love these Edible Bird Houses that are both a Bird House and a Cool Bird Feeder all in one. They are made by Bottomland Naturals.Bottomland Naturals has been building unique, natural birdhouses and feeders since 1985. Each one of their several hundred products is hand crafted in the USA.
One of their most popular sellers is the edible birdhouse.
The birdhouses are constructed with yellow pine and blandex lumber. Therefore, after the seeds are gone, you are left with a durable, unique, and weathered looking birdhouse that will last for years. If you desire, you can add honey or peanut butter along with sprinkled seeds to always have an edible item.

Make your own Bell Bird Feeder
A variety of seeds. Wild Bird Mix from the store.
Egg whites. 2 for every cup of seed.
Small terracotta pots.
Glad wrap to line the pot.
Thin wire. So you can hang the bell.
What to do:
Beat the egg whites till they're a bit fluffy, but not too fluffy. Kids can do the fluffing - they like that.
Then you pour in the seeds and stir them up while you line the terracotta pots with the wrap. When you've done that let then spoon the mixture into the pot and flatten the top.
Take a length of straight wire make a coil at one end, then insert the straight end of wire down through the mixture then out the hole at the bottom of the pot until the coil is submerged in the seed mix. Position your pots in a cool oven, right way up with the straight bit of wire pointing down through the oven rack, for one and a half to two hours. Allow to cool then tip the bell out of the pot peel off the wrap. Make a loop at the top ready to hang in a tree.

Never heard of edible bird feeders, but that's very clever. I love the bird pictures. It reminded me of Lucky; a baby bird my wife and I tried to save recently. I built a lens on him. Cute little guy. Thanks for the read. It was incredibly interesting.
