Kids Birthday Party Ideas

Limit the number of guests.
The rule should be the child's age plus one. So if you child is 4 years old, inviting five friends is enough. You don't want to overwhelm the guest of honor and have a tired grumpy child by time time the cake comes out.

Start Planning
Do this at a few weeks prior to the date of your party. Pick a date and time and don't change it. If you are having a theme for your party then choose invitations to match. Give guest reasonable time to reply.

Guest replying and not replying
Warning you may have to phone some children's parents to ask if their child will be attending. Do this a few days before the party if you haven't heard from them. You would be surprised to find that some people just turn up with their child without letting you know. The same goes to other who don't bother replying to your invitation and have no attention of attending.

Uninvited Guests
Watch out for the parents who try to leave other siblings at your child's party.(Yes, it happens!) Be firm and say no you have limited the number of guest to the enjoyment of the children attending.

Pick a Theme
Let your child to have a say in what sort of party they want to have.

Plan the activities and how the party will run
Choose games that relate to your theme if possible. Remember to make sure games can be enjoyed by all and suitable for the age group. Choose party favors that relate to your theme too.
