Don't think trains on this one, think competition (and lots of it). This birthday party theme is great for those who are more active and includes any type of athletic competition you like including relay races, bike races, long jump competitions and anything where you need a bell or whistle. Have this party outside during spring or summer and have loads of fun in the sun.

Tag with a difference. Each party guest must come in a black T-shirt and is given a ball made from stocking filled with flour. People then tag each other by throwing their flour ball at each other. The person in the end who has the cleanest shirt is the winner.

Party guests are divided into two teams and two small, inflatable pools are filled with a little water and lots of ice. The teams then need to race to see who can get the most ice out of their pool, using only their feet, in 60 seconds. Players from each team take turns in the pool for 60 seconds each against someone from the other team and then swap for another 60 seconds, until everyone at the party has had a turn.
