This type of birthday present is a thoughtful gift from friends, parents, family, children, spouses, or significant others.
Here is a list of the birthstones associated with each month. For some months there is an additional alternate stone. The most commonly recognized birthstone is listed first followed by alternates which are sometimes used for that month, either because the primary birthstone is unavailabe or because the wearer prefers them.
