Deep within the consciousness of mankind, dwells two conflicting hemispheres of right & wrongs for which seem endlessly at battle for justification for the right to be.

Truth my friend is the greatest illusion for it is like color seen at slightly different shades from ones persons retinas to another.

Humanity has forever found justification for actions which differ from one society to another. Justification for war in the name of God or the burning books at the time of the Inquisition, stopping people from free thinking & expression.We justify our truths on a day to day basis & whether it be simply an act of habit like smoking or drinking & drug taking & so on, everyone has a truth within themselves that justifies their own actions.

"It must be true, it is so written in the Holy books", I heard one speak. Though true for him if he is Christian & reads the Bible but not as true for the Muslim reading the Koran or the Jew reading the Tanakh & so on.

Everyone has a truth, yet what is truth really?.

If a color blinded man looks at the sky & sees a beautiful green color, & you see blue, why impose on him & try to convince him that seeing the sky blue is much nicer. Who are we to infringe?

Yet as human beings we feel the need to reflect our point of views on others although we may not have had the invitation to do so.

Black or white or shades of grays we see everything according to our own journey & experiences
of life.

We cannot see a work of art the same as each other, it is impossible, it would require an exact life existence & exact combination of events through out our upbringing to bring about an exact picture that the work of art reflects. Then take into consideration genetics which is in itself is another huge subject which also creates different interpretations of what we see, feel, taste, smell & touch.

It is impossible for me to explain what it is like to be burnt by fire if you have not felt it for yourself. No matter how hard I try to express my emotions, feelings & experience of being burnt, you shall never understand truly the meaning until you too feel the painful sensation for yourself.

Therefore, life & humanity is more complex than we could ever truly understand.Truth is more complex than we could ever understand & the events & consequences that we face through out our lives are nothing more than the legacy that we create for ourselves. No one will every truly feel & understand your legacy, no one but you has felt every stone under every step in your path of life. Only you can justify your own existence & express the best you can so people interpret the way you wish they would, but be warned. For every time you express your truth, there will be others that disagree & then each of the ten would have a slightly different version as well.

Like Chinese whispers, we speak & like sand in the wind our words fade with time.

What is forbidden today, next decade will become fashionable. Homosexuality a no no, today fashionable & acceptable. Swearing in public a no no, but now it is heard all over the television. Sexuality a no no & a hidden taboo, now a great marketing tool & one of the highest money making subject around. Today a taboo tomorrow what?

If we cannot have what we truly want, we justify it with "truth", our truth to justify the reason to have it.

Yet, I ask you, Is that not hypocrisy my friend?

Justify if you must your beliefs & actions, but do not infringe on others & force your ideas upon them.

Let everyone grow on their own & teach not truth but tolerance of differences & nurture the young with tools for finding knowledge, not give answers just based on your beliefs alone. Open for the children the door to knowledge with a guiding hand & allow their own creativeness to express without your infringing truths.

Like a forest within a labyrinth of shadows, my mind searches for an escape from the deep inner pain felt within the constraints of my mind.

Yearning for light but only seeing darkness.

A slight glimmer of hope casts the shadows away like a dusty curtain in an abandoned house, but through the window I see only a mirage of hope like a memory gradually fading with time, keeping me holding on desperately for a dream to escape.

Once hoping to become like a colorful butterfly, instead I arise a moth from a cocoon, a remnant of a hopeful man to now a character full of confusion & bitterness.

Tripping over my own two feet as I journey a merciless path battling an enemy that knows no remorse. A seemingly creature for it bares no name.

A fight to the bitter end I attempt casting away the dark one with the little stamina I have left.

The dark mysterious creature within, the successful one that wins by breaking down defences & clashing consistently against my will, leaving me confused & feeling worthless.

My warm tears, the lump in my throat, the constant agony of a depression that slays my inner being like a knight attacking a man with no armor.

The hero of pain, the creature, the one almighty, strong & forever like a plague engulfing everyone that crosses its path.

The dark mysterious creature within, known to many & feared by all, for the modern world curses all with illusions of prosperity & freedom, yet like a veil hides that which we don't want to see.

Within every luminous path is a point that is hidden from light, there a dark character dwells amongst its shadows, waiting for it's next victim like a panther on the prowl.

I too once had the naivety of a hopeful man, but I have been taken prisoner by the dark creature within.

The battle is gruesome & misleading, the feeling of struggle like swimming upstream in the murky waters of my mind.

I hear of many who battle the dark creature with alcohol, swallowing fermented potions & taking drugs like alchemists mixing chemicals to consume for a remedy to poison the creature within.

I chose the invisible tongue, a voice within my mind like a sword I sharpen its point with affirmations of hope. I search for a light at the end of a tunnel, for wise men speak of such places.

Like a traveler from another time lost in a modern world I crave for the ability to fit in. I see a world overtaken by greed & corruption, a history that repeats itself with unworthy rulers, a world over run by an enigma of characters who justify themselves by robbing from the poor in the name of economics, a world infected by a generation of immoral marketers like ingrown nails digging deeper into society & infesting the young minds with illusive lifestyles, a democracy dissolving with excuse for battling terrorism & the bandits of authority which lead with cold hearts & iron fists.

Perhaps mans dark creatures within have learnt the secret & transcended space & over shadowed the frail thread of time like a virus infection that should look like dollars signs under a microscope.

Behold, the dark creature within has some how escaped into the world.

What will become of mankind if we solidify our hearts & let go of compassion & love. Not only do we need to battle against the metaphorical dark creature within but keep it at bay if we come into contact with it out & about in this modern world.
