Black and pink room decor has been a popular choice for decades now. The sharp contrast of pink and black appeals to girls of all ages and for good reason. I have always loved how the color combo of black and pink is so versatile and can be used to create elegant, trendy, punk, sweet, or french themed rooms, to name just a few.

Having a color palette is a great way to unify a room, especially a teen's room, which typically consists of an eclectic mix of items. My teenage daughter loves to hang posters, photos and whatever else catches her attention in her room. Also, she usually has a wide selection of items laying on her desk, dresser, bookshelf, etc. Limiting the colors in a room can go a long way toward streamlining what can come across as cluttered and messy.

Other options include a soft, light pink or light gray, depending on the bedding you have selected and the overall feel you are going for.

You can also get inspiration for your wall colors from the accent colors used in your bedding. However, unless you are aiming for an eclectic, bohemian vibe, it's best to limit the amount of accent colors.
