Do you know where you want to spend your honeymoon? Weddings can be very expensive and it will depend a lot on your budget that you have left after the big day as to where you spend your honeymoon. Many couples decide to do something that is special to them, unique to their relationships and personalities. We actually went camping on our honeymoon and enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of the outdoors and each others company. Times were tight when my husband and I married.

Later in life we have taken some awesome trips that would make wonderful honeymoon spots for a couple.

If you think you might enjoy the Oregon Coast, we have stayed in a really beautiful beachfront hotel called Starfish Manor. The rooms are ocean front with balconys and the one we stayed in had a fireplace, a jacuzzi overlooking the ocean, and they layed those lush white robes out on the bed, with red rose petals on the robes and around the edge of the jacuzzi. It was a very romantic spot. Here is a picture:


We have stayed at Breezes in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. It was gorgeous and would be a beautiful place to have a honeymoon.

My absolute number one recommendation would be Le Blanc resort in Cancun, Mexico. We just went there last July and celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Let me set the stage for you, visualize this:

You drive up and the concierge meets you at the door with these cool moist towels to cool off with, when you pur them to your face you smell the softly scented jasmine or maybe lilac scent. You receive a glass of coconut juiice, soft music and friendly staff walk you through what you will receive that is all included with your trip. $1500 dollars of resort credit is what they were doing when we went, that we used for a lobster dinner on the beach, a couple massage, a manacure and pedicure, a jungle cruise on a speed boat to the ocean where we snorkled and a trip to Chichen Ixta. They had other choices too like a trip to swim with the dolphins or shopping on an Island.

We had our own Butler that would unpack and pack for you, iron your clothes, start your jacuzzi at a certain time filled with aromatherapy from the menu.

They had a fully stocked wet bar and it was full of snacks and candy bars (all included).

They had scented pillows that you could choose from a pillow menu.

The food was absolutely spectacular, I am a huge steak lover and may have honestly had t-bones for almost every meal.

Endless infinity pools looked out over the white sand beach.

I think one of my favorite things was the Sea Turtles, at night in the middle on the night they would come up on the beach and lay their eggs. The marine biologist and hotel staff worked together to gather the eggs and place them in a nursery that is protected. At certain times of year those eggs hatch and the guests get to help return the little turtles to the sea.

We found huge conch shells on the beach, that we brough home with us.

Now it is a romantic place for couples but you would have to probably visit one of their sister resorts for socializing. We were perfectly content to stay there and enjoy each others company though.

Where ever you choose to honeymoon, just make it special for the both of you. Spending that special time as you begin your new life together is the most important thing.
