No chickadees here in the western Sierra Nevada foothills. We see them up the mountain though and I love their song. I always love your bird lenses. Thanks!

What a wonderful little bird and another superb lens in your series on birds. We don't have these in Australia, that I know of, but we do have some beautiful specimens to crow about. Top marks and lensrolled and featured on Photography. It might seem an odd match but the pics are so good they deserve recognition.

I didn't realize that Chickadees ate insects during the breeding season and summer. No wonder we don't see them at the bird feeders in the summer. Thank you for sharing your expertise on birds.

Bird lenses always get my vote. Didn't realize that chickadees got their name from their song. In Eurasia we call these birds "tits". Chickadee is much more poetic and far less prone to elicit schoolboy-like sniggers.

Cute birds and cute lens! I enjoy watching the birds in my backyard and listening to their songs - although for the most part I don't even know their names... :)

This is definitely our most frequent visitor to our bird feeder. I can't tell how many there are since they come and go so quickly, but if I had to guess there's at least a dozen. They also aren't all that afraid of people. Every time I go out on the deck, they really don't move much, while the other birds fly away. Great work!

I think the chickadee is my all time fav bird...we have a few feeders out right now and I love how easily they talk back when you call their name...very friendly little guys.
...thanks for your comments on my geocaching and Canadian foodie lens...glad to hear we are like minded in the chocolate department ;o)

Ah, we used to call one of my sisters 'chickadee' would you believe? Yep. Cute birds.

I love chickadees. A pair of them were investigating a birdhouse that we have in a tall cranberry bush outside our kitchen window a few weeks ago. "She" would hop in and out and "he" stood guard on a nearby branch. I was so excited. But haven't seen them lately so not sure what's going on with them. Am keeping watch. This is a wonderful lens. Five stars for sure!

My favorite bird!! They are so friendly and cute. Tough little bird that stays all winter long in Michigan. I voted to make the chickadee the Michigan bird but never happened. Great Lens!

Lovely little bird! We have something similar in Sweden. The chest is more yellow and in the spring it is singing: kiss me kiss me kiss me hehehe! 5*
