Black & White Wedding Cake Inspiration
There is no doubt that the color scheme sets the tone for your entire wedding so if you are looking for an elegant, sophisticated look....black and white is the answer. It is a classic color scheme that will stand the test of time. Best of all, grooms love a black and white color scheme as much as the brides do.
And if you want to add a hint of romance, think about adding some pink or red accents to the flowers, centerpieces and of course the wedding cake. If you are a modern bride that would like to add a splash of trendy color, but still maintain an elegant classy look, try adding either lime green or bright yellow to the mix. Both of these colors are perfect choices for spring, garden and summer weddings.
In this lens, I've put together some of my favorite black and white cake designs featuring black and white only and then black and white with various accent colors such as pink, red, lime green and sunny yellow. The other option is to use a floral arrangement or gum paste flowers that coordinate with the bridal bouquet and other reception centerpieces. It is amazing what bakers can do with modeling chocolate, gum paste, and sugars these days!
