The RIM Blackberry Bold 9000 is a very elegant looking smartphone with it's high quality construction and leatherette back. It's a first class business phone with improved multimedia capabilities, faster performance, and more flexibility. This newest Blackberry is just a bit larger than it's predecessors but it also has a larger screen, roomier keyboard, and handy trackball for easier navigation and messaging.

It offers a crisp and fluid color TFT LCD screen that makes viewing webpages, slideshows, video, and more an unparalleled experience with it's 480x320 resolution.

It's a great workhorse for professionals and provides the messaging capabilities and connectivity you need. However, this phone also provides many of the entertainment functions you want such as a respectable camera/video recorder and multimedia entertainment.

With nearly twice the processing power of other Blackberry smarphones (624 Mhz processor) and 3G networking it offers a much faster experience. It provides 1 GB of onboard memory/128 MB flash memory and a microSD card slot that will support up to another 16GB of memory. With built-in GPS and Blackberry Maps you can also get the turn-by-turn directions you want when in unfamiliar territory.

    The Blackberry Bold 9000 makes staying connected by e-mail easy. You can add up to 10 e-mail addresses and you'll know as soon as you receive a message with it's push delivery technology.

    With this smartphone you can view e-mail attachments without any problem; whether it's a Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint document, Corel, WordPerfect, Adobe PDF, ASCII document, HTML attachment or JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG and TIFF image (even in zip format) this phone can handle it. You don't need to worry about those attachments either as security is high with the Blackberry Enterprise Server allowing encryption. Viewing images is also easier as you're able to zoom, pan, and rotate them easily.

    The Blackberry Bold also features:

    The Fun Stuff 

    The Blackberry Bold 9000 offers a 2 megapixel camera with built-in LED flash, 5x digital zoom, and a self-portrait mirror. You even get white balance control to improve those images and geotagging.

    Transferring images to computer can be done by USB 2.0 cable or Bluetooth so that you can not only share your photos by e-mail or online but can manipulate and print them at home.

    The Blackberry Bold will also capture video at 30 fps in full screen mode for a more fluid look.

    The music player supports MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+, and, eAAC+ formats. You can also transfer your desktop iTunes music to the Bold, create playlists, shuffle songs, and enjoy them with the stereo speakers or Bluetooth stereo headphones. You won't be cramped either, with memory expandable up to an additional 16GB there's plenty of room for all of your favorite tunes. Of course, you can also stream video, play games, and customize your graphics and ringtones. The Bold let's you enjoy content from MobiTV, YouTube, XM Radio and others.

    The Web Experience 

    The Blackberry Bold 9000 lets you access internet content on the go. Aside from viewing and editing documents as indicated above, users can browse the full web, set bookmarks, view history, set up RSS feeds, and more. With the built-in GPS and Blackberry Maps it's easy to plan routes, view maps, and even get turn-by-turn directions when you need them.
