There is a lot of software available that you can use to customize your Pocket PC. This includes an excellent range of open source and free ware.Blackberry Download Software Free is available through out the internet.

I checked out the following websites for PDA software:
1. http://www.freewareppc.com/ - has an excellent range of Blackberry Download Software Free with reviews, for Pocket PCs.
2. http://www.pocketpcsoft.net/ and http://www.pocketgear.com/ are excellent sites for Blackberry Download Software Free that you can purchase.

The biggest problem I found when searching for Blackberry Download Software Free was there is so much available and so many options to choose from (even within free ware) that I had trouble deciding. When in doubt I did a Goggle search to review articles on the type of software I am trying to obtain. If I am still confused I contact Marcus for advice. Do not forget that with most software you can download a free trial to test it!

Installing Software
Download folder in my document and once it has downloaded click on run). Your PDA does not have to be synced with your computer while you do it because the next time you sync with your computer it will install on your PDA. If it does Installing software onto your PDA is really easy. Download the software onto your computer (normally I will save the program in my not install it normally means the software is not designed to run on your PDA. You can check this by clicking on the tools menu on your Active sync program (only possible when your PDA is syncing) the select Add/Remove Programs. If the program you downloaded is not showing on the list it means it is not designed for your PDA.

CLaunch
I use this program to display icons (like on the desktop on your computer) on the today screen of my PDA. This allows access to my programs and files directly from the today screen rather than searching through the start menu.
Once you have installed CLaunch you need to display it on the Today screen via 'Settings'>'Today' icon>'Items' tab>then clear the ticks from all items except CLaunch.

Laplink controller

I use Laplink controller to display the screen of my PDA on my laptop (which I can then display through a data projector). It is excellent for showing students and staff how to use PDA's. The program is extremely easy to use and create the link with the computer. Besides displaying the PDA on the laptop you can also do screen grabs and video record actions on the PDA (however if use this function make sure you turn off the video recording when you are finished or it will continue to record until the memory of your computer is full).

Remote Display Control for Pocket PC
This is free ware that is part of the Power toys for Pocket PCs. It is similar to Laplink Controller but does not have as many features i.e. only display actions on a Pocket PC, including user input, remotely on the display of a desktop or laptop personal computer. It is a lot harder to operate than Laplink controller.

TCPMP
This is one of the best available audio/video players (NOTE: Windows Media players on PDA's do not support videos) and it is free! I have a range of videos of parasites that I like to show my students that they can now view using this program on a PDA. Definitely for me "a must have" program.

Abode Reader for Pocket PC 2.0
Abode Reader is 'a must' if you want to read PDF files on your PDA. For example, one of the maritime lecturers I work with had PDF files of all the maritime law references he uses on his PDA. This means when other lecturers or students grab him and ask a question he can quickly find the answer using his mobile reference library.

Pocket Screen Capture
This free ware allows you to obtain screen shots from your Pocket PC. The screen capture images are saved in a standard Windows bitmap in your temporary files on your PDA. The image can then be copied to your PC using Active Sync where you can use it for many purposes. The only frustration I have with this program is that it takes the capture 5 seconds after you activate the software and this is not always long enough to get the screen running that you want to capture. If you have Laplink Controller you would definitely use the screen capture function of Laplink rather than this program.

This is Blackberry Download Software Free that takes the birthday details from your contacts list and displays upcoming birthdays on the today screen. I am hopeless at remembering birthdays and this has saved my life.

Calc98
This is a scientific engineering, statistical and financial pocket calculator simulator program.
It includes a comprehensive set of conversions, constants and physical property data, a built-in periodic table of the elements, number base conversions, vectors, matrices and complex numbers. It is especially suitable for the scientific, engineering, medical and teaching professions and in finance. I added this calculator to my PDA because the calculator that comes with the PDA is very basic. I use it for conversions, statistical calculations and all those occasions when I need a calculator and have not brought one to class.
