Must Have Blackberry Storm Accessories

So you picked up a Blackberry Storm and want to deck it out. There are always the basic necessities such as a charger and headset but what about some protection or style.

Check out these must have accessories that will keep your Storm easy to grip, stylish, and protected.

Color gel skins. These come in a variety of colors and make it much easier to grip the phone as well as provide a limited amount of shock protection. Watch out for the cheap ones. They often do not fit right and may not have opening for all the ports. The Original Blackberry ones are great but the red one is actually more of an orange than red.

Color covers. Blackberry doesnt make any OEM color covers so choose carefully from the aftermarket options. These won't add any shock protection but do keep the phone housing from getting scratched. They can also be a good way to add style to the phone. Like the phone housing, a plastic color cover can be somewhat slippery to grip.

A screen protector. Neither of the above options add a screen protector. A couple of great companies that manufacture screen protectors are Zagg and NLU. We prefer the NLU brand. Either works well though.

Otterbox cases. If you are out in the elements on a regular basis, the Otterbox cases can't be beat from protection. These are heavy duty cases made to be tough. They add some bulk but provide exceptional protection.

Holster or a case? While cases can be more stylish, the pro to a good holster with the Blackberry phones is the built in sleep function magnet. Any good Blackberry holster will include a magnet in the holster that puts the phone in sleep function anytime the phone is inserted. If you want to get the most talk and standby time out of a Blackberry, this is a must have accessory.
