The Blackberry Pearl is a multi-function device that can also serve as a video recorder. For taking photos, the Blackberry Pearl has a 2.0 megapixel camera enough to capture interesting places with good quality images.The Blackberry Pearl is the first phone to have the new scroll mechanism opposed to the old scroll wheel located on the right-hand side. The older scroll wheel was only meant for scrolling up and down and the new one can now scroll up, down, left, right and diagonal on the main menu.
The Blackberry Pearl is one of the more compact PDAs offered by in the blackberry like and it also is one that offers a little more customization than other blackberry PDAs. The Pearl has a full line of colored cases and themed skins that can make your Pearl look like no other Pearl out there.
Music and video clips are delivered with rich sound and vivid color. MP3 and ACC music files and MPEG4 and H.263 video files are supported. Music player is cool too. You can also put in an extra Micro SD card for more storage.
Voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names. The phone's Bluetooth connectivity means that your favorite Bluetooth headset is fully compatible. Voice quality is excellent and reception is very good as well. Voice dialing feature also very good.
SureType predictive entry software interprets what you are typing and helps to fill in the remaining letters based on its extensive built-in word list. The sleek silver and black smartphone fits easier in pocket or purse and doesn't look like you are holding a hamburger to your head when you're on the phone.
SureType has surprised me with its accuracy and its usability, and I am very happy with the results, especially seeing as the integration of the smaller SureType keyboard enables Blackberry to cut the size of the phone way down.
