This can be helpful when diagnosing application or connectivity issues.

Handy Keywords/Shortcuts
Have you ever found yourself typing out your phone or PIN number in an email? The Blackberry has a lot of shortcuts to make your life easier. Simply type these shortcuts into your email and the BB will populate the correct data from your device settings.

Shortcut = Result

mynumber = Device phone number (ex. 15553334444)
mypin = Device PIN number
myver = Device model/OS version (ex. 7100/4.0.2.49)
sig = Owner Information (ex. Company XYZ)
usrid = Owner Name (ex. Doug)

Weather on your Blackberry 

One of the handiest apps that I have on my BB is called BBWeather. This application allows you to add various cities and see the current as well as long term forecasts. Since the app queries the US Weather Channel database based on zip code (Location ID field in the app), this isn't too useful for us in Canada, however, the Weather Network correlates IDs with Canada cities - you just have to know what they are. To do this I found a site which will provide the ID based on a city that you enter. This information combined with BBWeather will provide the weather for any Canadian city.
