Blaxploitation is a film genre that emerged in the early 1970s that supposedly targeted the urban Black audience--the word comes from a melange of 2 words, "black" and "exploitation". Some examples of this genre are the films Shaft and Coffee--these films starred black actors (like Richard Roundtree and Pam Grier) and featured urban soundtracks (like Isaac Hayes' theme song Shaft). In 2008 if a mainstream movie features all Black actors, people just refer to it as a Black movie. Unfortunately, some Black porn is still referred to as Blaxploitation. Maybe it's the ghetto factor or the fact that everyone is Black--whatever the case, it just seems so politically incorrect and narrow minded.


XCartel's series Black Cock Down is definitely not Blaxploitation. They have just released the 4th movie in the series.
