What Is BlackHat and What Is WhiteHat?
There has always been dislike between the people who use white hat SEO and the people who use blackhat SEO. The colors mainly come from the old west where the good guys wore white and the bad wore blackhats. To be honest the reason that blackhat seo has a bad name is because of the fact that most people associate them with spammers.
The term white hat means that you follow the rules set out by google. The rules such as only getting natural links, and having a genuine site with good quality content, in essence you are google's toy. Yep that's right you are just a pawn that can be pushed around by google.

The problem with white hat is that it is very hard work, to get natural links can take a long time and to get a site ranking for a term can take months, this is simply stupid. Who put google in control of the internet?
However another problem with white hat is that there is still no guarantee of success. You could start up a new site and months or years down the line your sit could still not be getting any love from google.
Don't get me wrong though white hat is a longterm thing and I use white hat methods myself but you can get better results, faster and 100 times easier with blackhat methods.
I have done many tests for keywords using blackhat and whitehat techniques and I have had much better results without using white hat. In this day and age with the economy what it is we don't have time to spend months creating niche websites to get a trickle of traffic a day
I would much rather make a good site with blackhat methods and having it rank well instantly than make a good whitehat site that takes months to get anywhere.
