All about the Britney Spears album Blackout
Check out my fan page on Blackout by Britney Spears. Blackout is Britney's fifth album not including her greatest hits and other extra albums. It was released in 2007 during her famous breakdown. Despite the terrible time in her life, the album turned out to be a great one. She never did an ounce of promotion, besides her VMA performance of Gimme More (which I think we all know how that turned out) and she still managed to have the album debut at number 2 on the Billboard charts. It was her first album that did not debut at number 1. It has sold approx. 3.1 million worldwide. It is her lowest selling album, but her best critically acclaimed album.

The one and only performance from Blackout
Britney performing "Gimme More" at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. It was hyped up to the max and was the show opener. Rumors were flying around that she was going to be doing magic tricks and that this was her major comeback. Instead she showed up looking very out-of-it and didn't do much of anything. It is now known as her single worst performance ever.

- I'm sure she wishes she could erase that VMA performance from her career! I was surprised that the critics gave her that high of reviews for the album! That must have been before they watched the VMA performance!
