Blackpool trams have been trundling along the Blackpool promenade to Fleetwood since 1885, making it one of the oldest electric tramways in the world.
For most of its 11 miles, the tramway runs along the sea front, turning inland for a short stretch near Cleveleys, before heading back toward the coast to fleetwood.
None of the earliest Blackpool trams are running now, but this Standard tram was exchanged by the Ohio Trolleyville museum and restored to its former glory.
Many of Blackpools trams sported novelty styling, such as the 736 'HMS Blackpool' pictured right.
Blackpool is one of only three places in the world that still uses double deck trams, the others being the former British colony of Hong Kong and Egypt.
