Black Sabbath

In the beginning, there was Black Sabbath...

...the band that defined the entire heavy metal genre and influenced pretty much every metal band since.

Starting in the late 60's in Birmingham, England, the "classic" Sabbath lineup is Ozzy Osborne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Terence 'Geezer' Butler, although there have been many variations along the way.

In 2007, Sabbath released the "The Dio Years", an album celebrating songs recorded with the lineup fronted by Ronnie James Dio. They are currently touring with that lineup, under the name Heaven and Hell.
