Whether it be weapons or armor, their hammer falls down on rough materials and come back up, a masterpiece in their vision.

Blacksmithing 101
Initials Inside The Armor
Blacksmithing is a crafting profession inside and out. You get materials, you pound and hack away at them until you get what you want. Blacksmithing can be very useful in the later levels, especially with some of the more advanced recipes.
You can specialize in either armor or weapons, so choose carefully. But in the long run, blacksmithing is worth the patience and hard work put into it.
P.S.: Blacksmithing is often paired with mining for materials.
Making Money With Blacksmithing
Show Me The Money!
Blacksmithing is worth it's most at the later levels and mostly because at that point, you can start to make armor and weapons that are much harder to get equivalents for elsewhere. Until that time, trade goods are you're best bet.
