So what does blogging have to do with Blender 3d?
Because blogging has become the new voice of the internet. And it is easy to see why. Blogs are a quick, easy way to voice/share your opinion on any subject. Numerous sites offer free blogging as well as the ability to blog on your own website with plug-ins.
My favorite topic of course is Blender 3d, so I regularly follow quite a few Blender 3d blogs. Not only is it a fun way to see what my fellow blenderheads are up to, I get to stay current on all the latest news and tutorials that are being written and shared with the community.
Since blogging is as individual as the person writing it, blender 3d blogs come in many varieties and have different focus points. Which can make it difficult to label or push any given blog into just one category, but I have tried to group the following blogs into some general categories for organizational purposes. A great many of the blogs actually fall into more than one category.

Doing Your Own Thing
Pet projects, personal exploration
I love the insight that following a Personal Blog can offer. I get a glimpse into the inner workings of some of the greatest Blender artists I know. The best Personal Blogs not only let me see what they are currently working on and exploring, but how they actually go about it.
If you have an personal blender blog/diary or would like to suggest one to be featured here, feel free to add it to my list.

Us the Robots
...while not a blog exactly, it is a fun visit

US the Robots is a 3D webcomic "drawn" by art student Sam Brubaker. It is updated every Saturday.
Everything is done exclusively with free software. The characters are modeled and rendered in Blender, with layout and speech bubbles in Inkscape and image editing in GIMP- all under a flavor of Ubuntu Linux. Hell, I even wrote most of the html code (poorly) in Vim!
How to Get It Done!
(informational blogs) tutorials and how to's in the wonderful world of blender
Tutorial blogs are generally maintained by dedicated members of the community willing to share their knowledge of a specific subject or area and are quite often my first stop when I need to find out how to do something.
These sites have some of The Best tutorials to be found online and I encourage everyone to wander by at least once and definitely bookmark them.

Everything but the Kitchen Sink
a little bit of everything related to blender
This type of blog is my favorite and I personally think the most fun to watch and follow.
While there might be a fairly consistent theme of topics (in these particular blogs, blender is the main topic), there is also a fair amount of just whatever the blog owner wanted to talk about that day. So any given day there might be some surprising/interesting new information or at the very least I might get treated to a funny story or two.

What is that and how did you do it?
(informational blogs) a look at various specific sub-topics in blender 3d
Some blogs concentrate on a very specific sub-topic. In the case of blender blogs that could be feature tests, character rigging, coding projects etc.
I have found these blogs to be great for when I have very specific areas I need information about or wish to know more about.
If you have a blender related blog with a fairly specific sub-topic or would like to suggest one to be featured here, feel free to add it to my list.

It's probably a little soon to create a lens list. But I have a minor malfunction when it comes to how things are organized. I like nice, neat groupings of things. Something that has already caused me to re-vamp several of my lenses and even split on...
