Counting your blessings, instead of the losses and focusing on the positive aspects of life can help in shifting attitudes and life challenges.
New Year is a perfect time to stop, reflect and remember to count your blessings, give thanks and be grateful for all that you have.
Count your blessings by smiles, not fears.
Count your age by friends, not years.

One way of keeping track of all of your blessings is to write them down a journal.Many people find it helpful to keep a more positive outlook, by recording 5 blessings or things for which they are grateful in a journal.
Some like to record their blessings when they rise, first thing in the morning, others as they end their day.
Whatever works for you, getting a notebook, a journal or even just a collection of papers writing down your blessings will be a more permanent reminder. In time, as you look back on all of your recorded blessings, you will get a sense of the many blessings in your life.
