Blessing Stones
Blessing Stones can be part of a wedding ceremony.
Blessing Stones are a nice tradition that is done so that all of the guests are included. Basically, guests are given small stones with a note card attached to each. The guest writes a short wish or blessing for the couple. Later at some point after the ceremony or during the reception, each guest reads his or her wish for the couple, places the wish into a basket and tosses the stone into another container (a wishing well, fountain, etc.) that the couple can keep. Very nice if the guest list is moderate.
Another way to do it is that at the end of the ceremony the bride and groom along with the wedding guess and bridal party gather at the ocean shore.
Each takes a blessing stone, and as they toss the stones in the ocean each makes a silent wish for the couple.
Children enjoy this addition to the ceremony, just watch their aim.
Use blessing stones in whatever way feels right for you. Hold the stone in your hand, carry it with you, or put it in a visible place to remind you of blessings now in your life, of those to come. Remember...Blessings often arrive when least expected!
'Blessings come in many forms,
Some you touch and some you feel.
Let this simple little treasure
Remind you what is real.
Each day brings new beginnings
With new hope along the way.
May your life be filled with blessings
As you walk your path each day"
Blessing Stones, wow!
