Blindness
Amazon Price: $1.95 (as of 05/30/2012)![]()
A fantastic, bold and strong adaptation from Blindness (Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira), a book from Nobel prized portuguese writer José Saramago. With powerful acting, a shocking script and edition, the movie goes deep in the human nature analysis.
Blindness casts a light on humanity
Blindness casts a a light on human nature. The lighter and, specially, the dark side. Do you think it can help us to turn in better human beings?

Sure. To face the darkness is the best way to see what we could make better.
MonstaKilla says:
I agree, but, as Nieztche would say: Those that hunt monster, beware, to not become monster.
Nope. To show the worst in us just make us loose faith in ourselves.

- I've read the book "Blindness", and while I didn't exactly "like" it, I couldn't put it down either. It was disturbing and powerful -- it's certainly a memorable book and well worth reading. I've been meaning to watch the movie too, but am not sure I'm quite up to it yet :-)

- Disturbing, that's the word. All Saramago's book are disturbing, each on it's own way, by the way. I think it's important to stare in the eyes of the disturbing things, it helps us understand what disturb and scare us, and master it.
And i think mankind need to look deep in the eyes of scare us, if we want to have a better future.
