Blockbuster Song Lyrics

Aah, aah
You better beware, you better take care
You better watch out if you've got long black hair
He'll come from behind, you go out of your mind
You'd better not go, you'd never know what you'll find

Aah, aah
You look in his eyes, don't be surprised
If you don't know what's going on behind his disguise
Nobody knows where Buster goes
He'll steal your woman out from under your nose

Does anyone know the way, did we hear someone say
We just haven't got a clue what to do
Does anyone know the way, there's got to be a way
To Block Buster!

The cops are out, they're running about
Don't know if they'll ever be able to Block Buster out
He's gotta be caught, he's gotta be taught
'Cos he's more evil than anyone here ever thought

Does anyone know the way did we hear someone say
We just haven't got a clue - ow!
Does anyone know the way, there's got to be a way
To Block Buster!

Does anyone know the way did we hear someone say
We just haven't got a clue what to do
Does anyone know the way, there's got to be a way
To Block Buster!

Aah, aah, aah, aah
Buster, Buster, to Block Buster!
Buster, Buster, to Block Buster!
Buster, Buster, to Block Buster!...

How Do You Rate The Song BlockBuster?

Your chance to rate The Sweets' only UK No.1 hit - Blockbuster

The Sweet had a string of hits which reached No. 2 in the charts after Blockbuster, the only one of their singles to reach the top spot.
I can't remember another song which has the sound of a klaxon in it, this to me made Blockbuster somewhat different to the rest of the Glam Rock at the time.
Blockbuster gets 5* from me.

What Wikipedia Has To Say About The 1970s Glam Rock Band The Sweet

You can read the full story of The Sweet on Wikipedia.

Sweet (originally The Sweet) is a British rock band that rose to prominence as one of the main glam rock acts in the 1970s, with the original line-up consisting of Brian Connolly, Steve Priest, Andy Scott, and Mick Tucker.

During the early years of 1971 and 1972, Sweet's musical style followed a marked progression from the Archies-like bubblegum style of the first hit, Funny Funny, to a Who-influenced heavy rock style supplemented by a striking use of high-pitched backing vocals. The band achieved notable success in the UK charts, with thirteen Top 20 hits during the 1970s alone, five reaching #2 and one, Block Buster, reaching #1.

Sweet membership has undergone a number of changes, and during different periods Scott, Connolly and Priest also each formed their own "Sweet", resulting in the separate bands 'Andy Scotts Sweet, BC Sweet and Steve Priest's Sweet'.

Connolly died in 1997, and Tucker in 2002.

Two of the bands, Sweet and Steve Priests Sweet, are still in existence, the former including Scott.
