HERE'S WHAT I THINK
BLOCKBUSTER vs. NETFLIX -- Who would be victorious?
Is there any doubt that BLOCKBUSTER has the better service for renting movies online or at their conveniently-located stores? Yes, they had their issues early on with all those 'reminder telephone calls' that made us think they had us on SPEED DIAL! The debate is not a new one! Well, NETFLIX is a pretender, late on the scene, trying to battle the Goliath of the box office movie rentals. A Johnny-come-lately.
P.S. Thanks to all of you wonderful friends and visitors who took time to participate in this debate and xoxoxo to those who left 5 stars.
Your ticket to being victorious! Blockbuster!

They are both good. Netflix was the first to offer movies online and I used them for a few years before switching to blockbuster. I simply liked the idea of being able to drop off my movies at a local blockbuster dealer and pick up more, (if I'm in the mood). However, I don't subscribe to either service anymore because until I posted this I useless paragraph of text, I didn't think I had time to watch TV or movies. :)

I have to say Blockbuster for the same reason as Fefe. To be able to drop the videos off whenever you want and get some new ones without having to wait for snail mail to arrive is a good option.

I canceled Blockbuster for Netflix. Now I had Netflix for a year or more and it sucks. The movies turnaround is as slow as 7 days, while with Blockbuster it was around 2 days.

I love Blockbuster because of the option to get movies in the mail and take them back to the store for a free movie when you're done.

No way, Monkeybrain! It's got to be NETFLIX.
GentlemanCad says:
Please, netflix was first on getting movies in the mail. Blockbuster is the newbie. As for fast service, netflix has thousands of movies on line now you can view from your browser or if you have the hookup, from your tv. Netflix roools!

Netflix is the a lot more fast than blockbuster. I get dvds about a day after I order them. It also has a feature that lets me watch movies via online streaming. So I plug my computer into my tv and I have a movie. It is way better than Blockbuster

Netflix is cheap, has a good selection of popular and obscure titles, they ship my next disc fast, and if I can't wait I have the option to watch movies online. My girlfriend used to use Blockbuster and canceled after the prices and the rules changed on her more than once. Plus Blockbuster has already conceded the DVD by mail category to Netflix anyways, they need to focus on their stores.
