One of the mistakes I see a lot of beginning bloggers make, is using article spinners to produce their content. Sure, it works, but talk about unprofessional! YIKES!

For those of you that might not know what an article spinner is, it's a piece of software or script that allows you to "paste" content you've copied into it, push a button, and it re-writes the article for you.

That being said, they just flat out don't work! Why? Because 99% of the time the grammar they spit out makes no sense!

If you spin an article and then read it, you will find yourself spending more time correcting all of the mistakes! Not to mention, they take you some time to to setup word variations. What this means is if you are going to use the word "find", you will have to make a string that looks like the following.

{find | locate | discover | detect}

What this is, is different ways to say the same thing. So you go through the document your about to spin and set all of these variations up. By now, you probably could have written a unique article of your own. But for the sake of this lesson, let's assume we've set up all of our variations. Now the spinner comes up with an article using all of these different variations together and your done! Wala! You have an article that makes no sense! Congratulations!

I've been down this road and I see lots of people do it. The content article spinners produce just isn't of value. Not to mention they take to much time.

Another option for content is to outsource your work to article writers. Now, this is way better than article spinners, but it requires money to get started.

You can find a plethora of freelancers out there that will be more than happy to write your content for you. A simple search for "article writers" will turn up plenty of places to find them! While this is a better option than the article spinners, it's really a technique to use once your making money, and successful at blogging.

You see, article writers usually charge between $1.00 and $5.00 per article depending on your criteria. Obviously, in most cases, the more you pay the better quality you get. If your just starting your blog and have visions of making tons of money, slow down and make yourself a business plan. Starting out by throwing money at it isn't the way to go!

A couple of other things I've seen out there are article writers using the spinners we just talked about, or simply submitting copied or plagiarized work. Both of these instances will get you no where!

Another reason these are tricky is freelance sites make you set up an account and write all of the criteria, including keywords that you are looking for in your job description. Again, you could have already written an article in the time you will have spent doing this.

I will reiterate that when your blog is wildly successful, you will definitely want to consider this method. When that time comes, here are a few pointers.

Always ask for a sample of their work on a topic of your choice. Not only can you use this article for your blog, but you will get a feel for their writing style. If you like what you see, give them a shot!

Last but not least, if you find a great writer, hold on to them. Stay in close contact and give them plenty of work. They can be a wonderful resource to have at your disposal.

Now here's an interesting concept! Auto blogging! You know the phrase.... "set it and forget it!"

Once you have your blog setup, adding an auto blogging software solution to it can be a great way to get it started for you. Auto Blogging software essentially goes out, get's you content, brings it in to your blog, and creates a post of it for you. Very cool!

I use them to sprinkle content on top of mine when I'm just not feeling creative.

Of course their are other times too, but these are my main reasons. Why? Really because I like my blogs to be me! I could use them 24/7 but I just choose not too. Think about it, some of my blogs have 100's to 1000's of subscribers. If they went to bed last night and woke up to 500 new posts, don't you think they might get a little suspicious? I know I would be!

Using auto blogging software can be a real treat for you! Make sure you find a program that works and is in step with your business model. Each one does things just a bit differently than another. Researching and planning will help you to pick the best one!

After writing that last post, It got me to thinking. Maybe I should share the piece of software I use for auto blogging. I figured it might help people stay away from all of the pitfalls out there.
