Bloggers Hop the Blogosphere

We bloggers can occasionally get a bit foggy-brained about what our next blog post topic might be. The blogosphere has a hopping good cure for that writer's block dilemma -- Blog Hops!

Blog Hop, as defined by The Blogosphere's Dictionary, is to move from one blog after another to read the entries or to leave comments.

Froggy is gonna show you a hoppin' good time!

First Things First -- You'll need a Blog

If you don't already have a blog, you'll need to find yourself a blogging platform and get your blog going. Froggy prefers the Blogger platform, but has many internet friends who utilize Wordpress. And, there are other blog platforms you are welcome to investigate.

Froggy says all you need to do to get started is to use your Swagbucks toolbar to search for "how to get started blogging" and a list of great informational links will appear for you to research blogging platforms and how to set up your blog.

For those of you who already have a blog set up, Froggy says, "HOP to it!"

Blogger versus Wordpress -- or, if you use another platform, please share it in the comments -- thank you.

Blogger

veryirie says:

Blogger for my one and only blog.

scarlettohairy says:

I started out with Blogger and use it for my three blogs.

MarcoG says:

I've only ever used Blogger

mumsgather says:

I have 4 blogger blogs and 1 self hosted blog on wordpress. I prefer blogger for its ease of use. It is improving all the time too!

LizLilith says:

I've tried both, and I prefer Blogger.

Wordpress

daria369 says:

I still use both platforms but very much appreciate the wordpress platform because it gives me a lot more freedom and choices of what I can do with my blogs.

vallain says:

I'm comfortable with Wordpress, but must admit my blogging efforts are rather erratic.

poddys says:

I do have a free Blogger blog and a free Wordpress blog, but mostly I host my own blogs and use Wordpress. It's so versatile and once you have installed a couple of sites it's easy to work with.

crosscreations says:

I've used blogger, but am switching to wordpress. Ya just can't beat WP!

Sanam says:

Wordpress blogs look much professional then blogger.

Froggy Invites YOU to Blog Hop

Shares In Squidoo

SIS is hosted by Lensmaster Ruthi

SIS: Shares In SquidooIs Squidoo on the stock market? I have no idea! However, shortly after becoming a Squidoo lensmaster, I felt as though I owned stock in Squidoo.

SIS: Shares In Squidoo is a blog hop hosted by me at my Poetic Creations by abitosunshine blog.

SIS is about sharing lens links of other lensmasters. Sure, you can share links of your own, too, but... this blog hop has one mandatory rule, the 3:1 Ratio Rule: If you wish to share 1 lens of your own in your blog post, you must share the links to 3 lenses from other lensmasters in the same post.

Ms. Ruthi's Blog Hop Participation

(Hops hosted by other blogs.)

From my blog, Poetic Creations by abitosunshine, I participate in the following blog hops:

HOP and SQUIDOO

A blog hop hosted by Lensmaster Marsha of Marsha's Spot. This hop is for all of us Squidoo Lensmasters to share our latest lens creations, lens updates, and general squidoo discussions, as well as sharing the lenses of others. A fabulous way to support each others' blogs as well as spreading a bit of Squidoo lens love!

From my blog, Ruthi Reads!, I participate in the following blog hops:

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop, hosted by Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books.com, connects book bloggers and readers together. It's a great way to meet and greet fellow book bloggers.

Each week a question is offered that you answer in your hop post; often the question is submitted by a member hopper.

First Chapter, First Paragraph, Tuesday Intros

Hosted by Diane at Bibliophile By The Sea, the title of this book blogger hop is pretty much self-explanatory. Each Tuesday we share the first chapter, first paragraph of a book title with our blog readers.

From my blog, Bloggin' by abitosunshine!, I participate in the following blog hops:

Six Word Saturday

Hop along with Six Word Saturday! And yes, that invitational sentence was just six words. This blog hop promises to be interesting and fun. Hosted by ShowMyFace.com.

Catch A Wave Wednesday

Hosted by Cindy of Blogging Hints, this hop is performed as a wave at a sporting event -- the idea is to visit, follow, and comment on the blog before and after you on the hop linky list. Ride the waves to meet new blog friends.

From my blog, abitosunshine LOVE and WRITING, I participate in the following blog hops:

Thinking on Thursday - Pondering with a Purpose

Hosted by Brenda of Fiction With A Purpose, this blog hop is for writers. Each week, Brenda provides a writing prompt for us to post our writings on our blogs, then link to her blog hop, of course, for all to hop around and read and comment on them.

Blogging is fun when it comes to expressing one's experiences, adventures, thoughts and feelings. But it shouldn't be a chore - at least not in my world... ;)
