According to the Internet, 80,000 new blogs for business purposes are created every day! If you are a new entrepreneur/online business owner who is struggling, you may not be aware of Blogs and how they can assist you within your business. We are going to show you how they can be used and why you should be using them.

New Text / Write module

The many benefits (Pros) of blogging include:

1. Easy for beginners.
2. Can be easily monetized to create an income.
3. Are informal to write.
4. Easy to change or edit.
5. Quick to set up and get attention from the Search Engines!
6. Mostly free - The free services work just as well as the paid ones!

NOTE: If you are interested in our SBI! Website creation that we use than you will be given a blog so you do not need to set up an additional service.

For New Entrepreneurs trying to test the waters with a product or service, a blog can provide some valuable marketing information on how the idea will work out. You are able to monetize the Blog just as you would a website but it is much smaller in scale and quick to get up and running.

The Cons of using a Blog for business:

1. Typically your domain name can be quite long as it holds the name of the service within your URL. For example; if you sign up for www.blogger.com for an account and your business name Tennis Coaching, your Blog would look something like www.tenniscoaching.blogspot.com. This can be hard to remember if you aren't using hyper-links to advertise your Blog site. Try to keep it relevant but simple when naming your Blog!

2. You can become limited to adding things onto a Blog when you become more advanced in your business. This can best be used for New Entrepreneurs or New Products/Services that your company is providing. Testing the waters for a new idea within a Blog can afford your regular business site some protection if it flops!

3. Most advertising services do not have a classification for a Blog post and some cannot recognize the long URL and will give you an error message for trying to place the ad within their site.

Our website Team feels that the Pros highly out weigh the Cons when it comes to this great resource tool! Again, Blogs should be used as a resource or tool and not necessarily as a website due to some of the restrictions that they have and other resources that are needed to run a business.

Within our Business Resources Page you will find several Blog Services that you can look at and try. Both Free and paid services are listed and you should determine what fits your business needs better!
