Blogging Topics

vastness of topics for blogs

I not only post lenses on Squidoo, but also write on several other sites. They are all a little different than each other in one way or another, yet have a lot of similarities also. One is not any better than the other, just different. The topics all vary, as do opinions, which you can tell from the different comments that are posted. Some blogs are written to express opinions, others are posted just for humor, and some are posted for the sole purpose of making money. Many of the latter often hinge on the edge of spam. Some even manage to cross that line and sneak through.

Political Blogs

A unpolitcal persons point of view

First, I have to tell you, that I am a Canadian, and most of what I have read about politics is about the American administration.I am not political in any sense of the word.In fact, I hate politics. I have read many political blogs, because part of my hate for politics, comes from the fact, I have never understood politics. So I read many blogs on politics to see if I could gain some understanding. I thought if I understood, then maybe I just might enjoy joining in on the political arena. Well that was not to be.Seems many people have all of a sudden decided that they have wasted their vote.Because all I have read lately, is how bad a job, the new American president seems to be doing. One blog after another, all much stating the same thing in different ways.Yet, before the American public went to the voting booths, all the blogs I read were about how good they thought he would be as president.
I don't follow polls, but if I did, I'm just wondering what President Obamas' popularity rate would be at the moment.
Seems that no one is ever satisfied with the outcome of an election, and the comments I have read, vary in content, but one thing that seems to come up quite frequently, is racism. It is one thing to critize, another to be outright racist. I guess if you have the intellegence of a knat, and you can't find something of value to contribute to the political discussion, you lower yourself by playing the "race card".I deplore these people, and it's too bad that we can't stop them from spewing their rascism on peoples blogs.

Anorexia

I wish I could help-NOT!

I have read so many blogs, about anorexia, all the same, a menu of what they ate for the day, the exact amount of calories, and how |I feel so good I managed to lose 2 lbs. this week, but I'll try harder next week. I have no sympathy for anyone starving themselves to death. They want to look like some celebrity, and they just keep going, letting their bodies shrink, day by day.Why would anyone want to read a blog that is nothing more then menu, which is more of a suicide note than anything.I only feel for the people they will eventually leave behind. They have to literaly watch their loved one, die a slow agonizing death, one you would not wish on the lowest of animals.

Religion

To Pray or Not to Pray

Well here is the one topic, that seems to be gaining momentum everyday.I see blogs that are nothing more than copied text, word for word, directly out of some version of the bible, and these people call them blogs.Others write a short prayer, and call that a blog.Whether I myself am religious or not, doesn't matter, what does matter is they are trying to force their God, on a blog reading public, all who have their own Gods, and religions.
Here in Canada, we have been hearing and reading in our news about the latest Catholic Church scandal.seems that one of the bishops, now get this, this is pure irony,This guy actually negotiated a deal for children who had been abused by members of the Catholic Church(priests), he was caught importing Child Pornography into Canada at the Ottawa airport.
The diocese is actually setting up free counseling for parishoners. I think they would be better off, setting up protection services for this disgrace to humanity, because if it were my parish, I think a lynch mob would be in order.
I had been online early one morning, I wasn't feeling well, there weren't any blogs posted as yet by any friends, so I was browsing through the blogs that were there, and there was one religious blog after another. Finally I went completely ballistic on some poor women, she had said something to the effect, that her lord was in every breath we take, is with us always, and is in our hearts. My comment to her blog, went like this, Do you think the little girl or boy, laying in the hospital bed, their bodies bruised, their eyes swollen, after having the clothes ripped from their little bodies, having the private recessess of their bodies invaded, knives, guns held to keep them at bay, feel that every breath they were taking was filled with the lords love, that every step they took he was with them, I don't think so.I didn't get any reply, but then I didn't want one either.
Yes religion seems to gain all sorts of comments and it seems to be everywhere on some blog sites.

Friends

Friends helping friends.

There seems to be a great deal of blog sites that have incorporated email, and instant messaging in their blog sites lately.I think this is a very bad idea.Unless regulated properly. Many people use this as a way to gain views on there blogs, and improve their ratings. If you have friends, that are willing to go along with this practice, you can gain a huge rating. All they have to do, is continuously visit your blog post several times a day.I have even seen husband and wife use this to their advantage, totally ridiculous.
Many topics, many different views of these topics, all of us wish to have that following.
