Why The Hell Do You Blog?
Or do you have a great hobby that helps you unwind from lifes hectic mess?
Whatever the case more and more people are blogging online and this is a good thing, personal views on topics are great and doing this online makes it even easier to get these words of wisdom published online.....
Oh but what of the dilemma of getting people to read your poured over thoughts and musings of days gone by?
This stumps many a new blogger into submission after a while, they give up and you often find a blog that sounds interesting, a link that looks so tempting to click on, then when you do, it has not been updated since the time of christs holy beard.
Blogging for the serious has to hold some interest for the blogger to keep on writing and plugging away on creating new content every day if possible.
5 Top Reasons To Blog
You may think of others while reading this...
- You have that much enthusiasm for your topic or subject area that you are simple brimming with knowledgeable content and want to share it with like minded people.
- You want to make money off advertising and would rather copy and paste other peoples content than have an original thought of your own, the money is your only motivation and your potential blog readers see it and don't ever come back.
- You get inspired by someone who says they are earning loads of money and want to do the same, but soon find you don't know where to start.
- Alot of people come to realise that they can upload all of their photos and stuff and never having a need to keep them on your computer, picture hosting sites and blog sites are mostly free to join, so they do.
- People just want to interact with others online through comment discussions and share information through each others blogs.
What Content Do You Write In Your Blog?
A hobby topic of course!
Much like a typical website you write what you know rather than what you hardly know anything about, a deep interest is needed to carry on a blog that is packed full of great informative posts that resonate with your blog readers.
Of course to start off with, blogging usually starts off quite cautiously until you find that perfect match of content and enthusiasm that helps you build your blogging momentum, planning ahead helps you plan what's to come, and of course your readers help you with valuable feedback on your topics through the comments.
My main areas of interest are blogging, fantasy art, and affiliate marketing, I have narrowed these areas down from a whole list of other topics I began with in the beginning, sometimes you may have to do this if you are unsure of the right niche or interest you could blog about.

5 Quick Blog Traffic Building Tips
Are you struggling with getting traffic to your blog(s)?
And they really are simple to do....So read on!
1. Commenting on others blogs
This is one of the top ones that I always hear online in many blogs that provide blogging tips.
Commenting on other blogs that have similar content to yours, perhaps some of the same keywords too, all you have to do is just read and connect with other blogs and bloggers really, add your genuine opinions about the posts that they provide, interact and add to the discussions that may go on in the comments section.
Why does this attract traffic?
Because you are reaching out to other bloggers who are in your niche, you prove that you know and understand what they are talking about by commenting your opinion, they will follow your blog link to find out what you are about and more than likely comment on a few of your discussions, this is a blogging form of tennis that can have a long term relationship if you keep it up.
2. Optimizing your blog posts
This is a search engine optimization technique that applies to all websites and blogs, this is the process of adding searched on and targeted keywords within your blogs content, so that your articles and information could be found through any of the search engines.
Now this not only means the actual content that you have to optimize, but the titles of your posts and images on your blog could also be fine tuned to bring in traffic, a good bit of keyword research maybe needed to find good keywords that will help your cause.
Always try to keep an eye on your optimization of your content, because later on you may be able to revisit old posts and tweak them further to bring in more traffic, also bolding certain keywords may help too.
3. Submitting your blog to blog directories
Just like website directories they provide a backlink in relevant categories to your blogs content, this could take a bit of work, but could be well worth it in the long run, some may require you to link back to them.
I recommend adding your blog links to the popular blog directories that hold lots of blog links, because the more lnks the more visitors that directory may get, but then also any blog directory to add a link is just as good.
4. Linking to others blog sites in your niche
This provides value, but also brings in traffic to you to, because the search engines will recognise that you are linking to a quality blog site that is relevant, all the more better if the blog you link to recieves lots of traffic anyway.
Also the blogging medium usually has a useful tool called a trackback and in some cases the relevant blogger you link to might actually know that you have linked to them through their blogs trackback plug in, so you neer know they may visit your blog and add a link in a post on their blog, which will bring in more traffic.
5. Social Bookmarks For Social Linking
Most blogs at the end of each post have links that can add your blog posts to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Stumbleupon and Delicious to name a few, this is especially useful if you have a great blog post that almost anyone will find useful.
When your blog readers do this, they can add a small review of you blog post, detailing the reasons to others to visit and read for themselves.
The more varied reviews and link backs from these social bookmarking sites the better for your blogs post traffic, I wouldn't really add your own reviews as it is more for others to add their unique bookmarks.
