I love green. It is a good thing too, considering that it is everywhere! The most abundant color on earth, it is a powerful, life affirming color that fills me with hope and energizes my soul. It is the color of health, home and abundance. A beautiful gift from nature to keep us feeling fresh and vital. No other color is so deeply connected to our beings as earthlings. For me, green flowers are fractal mandalas that conjure up images of wide, rolling hills, lush green meadows and fields of clover. Meditating on them helps me to feel grounded and at one with life. It helps me to recharge my system and breathe new life into my day.

Despite what many people think, wearing green isn't just for luck on St. Patrick's Day. There are many holidays and special occasions that green is perfectly suited to, such as weddings and Yule or Christmas. Can you imagine decking the halls in a deep pine green with silver and white accents? It would be like living in a forest at the top of a wintery mountain peak. I just got inspired! I normally like to do cobalt blue with silver and white, but I think I'm going to do one room in green instead, this year. I think I'll do one in red too, just to mix it up a bit more. Ooh, how fun!

Oh, sorry. I got distracted. Back to green. Specifically, wearing green. A white and green handfasting - now that would be beautiful! You could even add the silver touches, like in my winter holiday idea. Oh my. You could create a magical winter forest to hold the ceremony and reception in. I'm getting visions of satyrs playing flutes just thinking about it! If you would rather get married in the spring, you could just use a lighter shade of green. Something sunnier like chartreuse or lime. I can just see the flowered bowers and blooming bouquets. It would be breathtaking!
