Spotlight On STARGATE: THE ARK OF TRUTH
Finally, more Stargate for Stargate fans!
The Ark of Truth is the first movie released after the show ended. Fans (like my sons) will be able to reunite with the characters and enjoy the elements that made the television series so successful plus they will solve a cliffhanger. Amazon says that "it's all about the ride, and despite a few flaws (as was sometimes the case with the series, the script leans a bit too hard on exposition and techno babble), this one is lots of fun."

Who doesn't know the story of King Kong? The scene at the end set on top of the Empire State Building is one of the most famous scenes in movie history and, as Amazon says, "celebrates both the technical and emotional heights that film can reach." It will be interesting to see it in blu-ray format!

This movie was released on September 19th, 2008, and received a Parental Guidance rating for thematic elements, scary images, action and mild language. The reviews I read suggested that is not appopriate for young children because of the inappropriate content. A light-hearted, kid-friendly movie.

An old-fashioned tearjerker? Yes. An "impassioned and great-looking adaptation" of the novel written by Nicholas Sparks has wonderful actors including Ryan Gosling, CRachel McAdams, James Garner and Gena Rowlands who play the same couple in the 1940s and in current times in North Carolina. One poor, one rich; one devoted, one suffering from dementia. Their enduring love is the story here. A true romance.

Now this is a set, I am guessing, that will be very popular. I expect there are three men in my home that would love to have this threesome. The Bourne movies are excellent and contain plenty of action, suspense, bad guys plus a love story. The actors include Matt Damon, Joan Allen, Julia Stiles, Franka Potente and Chris Cooper.
