A Low Glycemic Organic Sweetner

Agave nectar is an all natural organic liquid sweetner that comes from the Blue Agave plants in Mexico. It's very similar to a cactus, though it isn't a cactus, as some have supposed, but a desert succulent. there are many kinds of Agave throughout Mexico, however, the blue agave Nectar plant flourishes in volcanic soil.

It is the perfect for those of us with blood sugar problems, or those who are watching their weight, carbs, or calories, or those who just want to live a healthier lifestyle.

Of the many kinds of Agave Nectar, Blue agave is the lowest on the Glycemic Index, making it the nectar of choice for diabetics and health conscious consumers. Organic agave nectar is a natural product that can sweeten any type of food product or beverage. I personally love it in my coffee every morning. To produce the nectar, juice s extracted from the core of the agave. the juice is then filtered, packaged, and sold as a delicious product.

when cooking with agave it is important to lower the baking temperature by 25 degress because agave browns at a lower temperature than other sweetners. Agave nectar is used to sweeten my favorite sprouted wheat bread.
