Homemade Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Recipe

Frozen yogurt is a delicious and easy way to have a cold gourmet dessert with less impact to the waste line than ice cream. It can be made in so many flavors and personalized to every one's different tastes. This blueberry frozen yogurt recipe is super simple and takes less time to make than it does to run to the local ice cream parlor. And I know it has less calories than my favorite cheesecake with blueberry topping!

Give this recipe on those hot summer nights when nothing else will do. Trust me...your family will thank you.

Easy Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Recipe

How to make blueberry frozen yogurt

Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups lowfat vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 pint blueberries, pureed and strained

Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, milk and sugar.

Mix until the sugar dissolves.

Carefully add the pureed blueberries into the mix until combined.

Add to your frozen yogurt maker and allow to churn for 20 - 25 minutes.

Ripen in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving.

NOTE - If you've got fresh fruit in your fruit basket, this is always better, but if you can't find blueberries that are reasonably priced, you can always use frozen whole blueberries as a substitute in this recipe.

    Mmm, blueberry frozen yogurt sounds delicious! But unfortunately I don't have one of those frozen yogurt making machines, so I doubt I'll be making any - just eating!
