Bluehost - Bluehost review. Is Bluehost a Good host or a Bad host? Bluehost Sucks? Bluehost Scam?

Considering the hundreds of web hosting providers to choose from, it is certainly no easy task to decide which one to sign up with. I know as I have been through this stage before. This is especially true if you are on a tight budget and is on a lookout for an affordable, reliable and easy-to-use web hosting solution.....

1.   Why A Need For A Website?

I wanted a website so that I can write reviews and sell products. Initially, to save cost, I use 'free hosting solution' like blogger.com. Unfortunately, the results were not as good as I thought.

I learnt the hard way that in order to sell products, you will need websites that look more professional and most importantly you must be able to customise the look of your website. There are many constraints using 'free hosting solution'. Page layout is one of them. I finally gave up on 'blogger.com' and decided to search for an affordable and professional web hosting solution.

 

2.   The Search Begins......
The search process is tedious. It took me more than a month to finally decide on which host provider to sign up with. More than a month? I must be kidding, right? Absolutely not. Here's why: A search on Google & Yahoo for the keywords 'best web hosting" and "cheapest web hosting" and you will be overwhelmed by a long list of recommendations and reviews. It doesn't help either when you read from one review to another. Most of these websites recommended different host provider as their no. 1 host.

 

3.   So Who Is Telling The Truth?
You do another search again but this time round you use the host provider's name as the keyword. Everytime, you have decided to use that particular web hosting provider, a search on "webhosting name sucks", you will be disppointed by some negative comments about the provider. Confusing wasn't it? The search process, however, is not totally a waste of time. I manage to come up with a shortlist of web hosting providers that seems to appear favorable on most review websites. One of them is BlueHost. I did a search on 'bluehost sucks' and yet again I found some negative comments. One of them being the downtime. But if you were sharp enough, you will notice that most of these complaint were made a few years ago. A search on other web-hosting providers on my shortlist with the keyword 'sucks' show equally number of negative comments.

The truth is : if the web hosting provider has been in the industry for quite some time, there will definitely be some negative comments. The reason is simple. Its quite impossible to find a product in the world that can satisfy everybody. The other theory also holds true: if there are not many comments, either the hosting provider is very new or it is not popular at all. Using the keyword 'sucks' doesn't really help .....

 

4.   My Final Decision
After all the trouble, ultimately I decide on BlueHost. Why? To be frank, I got tired and wanted to quickly get over with the search process, sign up one affordable & decent web hosting provider and carry on with my life. Secondly, I chance upon a website that recommend Bluehost. Nothing special about this review site. What set this review website apart from the pack is that it actually sells what it 'preaches'! That review website is hosted on BlueHost. That alone is enough to influence my decision. Who can better comment than someone who has actually used the product? Most importantly, the cost is really attractive if you compare what it has to offer:

A great achievement considering how cut-throat and highly competitive the hosting industry is.

5.   CONCLUSION

After all the research and thorough testing, the final results obtained were good enough to convince me to sign-up with BlueHost. Till date, I have been with BlueHost for more than 6 months now. I am quite happy with their features and am really satisfied with their services so far. Any regret? Yes, there is one. I should have learnt about BlueHost much earlier to save myself all the trouble...

My advise? Stop wasting your time searching. Heed advise from someone who has been through the hardwork. Reason being the effort and time spent is truly not worth it. Time should be spent more on the theme and design of your websites...
